During a visit to Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, I captured this white-tufted marmoset in its natural habitat, resting on the branches of a tree. But don't think they just sit there quietly, watching us!

I clearly remember how hard it was to get close to one of them and how fast they are. One moment they're watching you, and if you blink, they're gone.

This is the beauty and spontaneity of our country's wildlife in one of Brazil's most iconic landmarks.

This is my entry for the @PhotoFeed Contest, with the theme Wildlife Photography, round 85.

Em uma visita ao Cristo Redentor, no Rio de Janeiro, capturei este Sagui-de-tufo-branco em seu habitat natural, descansando nos galhos de uma árvore. Mas, não pensem que eles ficam assim, quietinhos, só nos observando!

Lembro-me bem do quão difícil foi me aproximar de um deles e como são rápidos. Em um momento estão ali, nos observando e, basta piscar, que eles já sumiram.

É a beleza e a espontaneidade da fauna do nosso país em uma das atrações mais icônicas do Brasil.

Essa é a minha participação no @PhotoFeed Contest, com o tema Fotografia da Vida Selvagem, no round 85.
