Traveling in parts IV / PhotoFeed Contest - Black & White Photography Round 116 (Eng-Esp)

At some point, I grew up without realizing that the airplanes I built during my childhood would become so important.
I always wanted to fly, and I did. I crossed the ocean and saw the clouds with their layers, their textures... And I visualized myself sitting in them, running through them, like a child waving to the adult traveling in an airplane and waving back with a smile.

I could see the line separating day from night on the horizon. I could see, at the same moment, cities illuminated by incandescent points, while right in front of me was a vast sea illuminated by the sun and the rainbows of time.

I grew up, and airplanes took on new meanings, a different smell...
My smile was never the same.

Growing up, I could see the layers of rust in the open air struggling to reach the clouds.

I grew up and could see the gnawed wires and played electrician to fly again.

And I hung butterflies in the trees, because butterflies have wings as soft as the wind...

And I fixed the cables and I could dream...

And then the trees covered the space between the butterflies' wings and the clouds...

And I wanted to paint a Cuban flag, even though my flag is rusty and has holes...
But it's my flag.

And I hung the light on the fuselage to stabilize the flight...

And the flag set out to conquer itself on the wind, with its butterfly wings, soft, but with a single destiny like someone taking flight.
