Career Day Parade!

(edited)

Some mornings bring beautiful moments, others... tough. Today's morning turned out beautiful. From the moment I woke up, till the time I hit the road, I had this unexplainable joy plus positive vibe that got me supercharged to take on the day.

Heading to work, I was mentally rehearsing my to-do list and checking updates on my WhatsApp. Then, a few meters before the bus stop - Obikabia junction, I saw them.

Right by the side of the road, marching in perfect little lines, was Royal Rock Academy on their Career Day parade. They became the cynosure of all eyes as Obikabia junction came to a standstill.

"This is so adorable", I said, in between smiles as I quickly took some shots.

Leading the line, proudly clad in their lab coats were the medical professionals. Lol. Nurses, lab technicians, doctors, name it. A look at the doctors with their stethoscopes too big for their necks, you can't help but smile. 😅

Next came the footballers. I could imagine one of them becoming Messi in the future. The firemen were also there, well kitted and ready to rush out in the event of any fire alarm. Lol.

Engineers, and site workers also showed up.

The gentleman of the bar - lawyers, in wigs and black gowns looking like they’d argue a case before breakfast.

The security operatives, pilots, hostesses, didn't disappoint. With them, the flight back to Royal Rock Academy would definitely be a smooth one. Hehehe.

Did you see our cute little police officer and general? Aren't they adorable? 😍

The career day parade wouldn't have been complete without the farmers, chefs and cooks. We must have food on our tables. Very important. Lol.

For some minutes, Obikabia junction wasn’t just a busy road, it was a runway for dreams. These kids weren’t just wearing costumes, they were declaring what they’d become in years to come.

If this is the future Royal Rock Academy is raising, then we’re in good hands. Lab coats today, stethoscopes tomorrow. Helmets today, buildings tomorrow. Wigs today, courtrooms tomorrow.

Shout out to the pupils for this brightening up our morning with their wonderful display, and kudos to the management and staff of the school for putting this up.
