Small Experiment: A Manual Litecoin Market on HivePredict

Small Experiment: A Manual Litecoin Market on HivePredict

I tried something new on HivePredict tonight and thought it might be relevant to share here in the community. Nothing big, nothing promotional — just a small technical experiment to understand how the platform behaves when you create a market for an asset that doesn’t have an automatic data feed.

I set up a simple manual market related to Litecoin:
Will LTC be above $80 by July 15, 2026?

Since Litecoin isn’t supported by their auto‑resolve system, the entire market is configured manually.

That means:

  • clear resolution criteria
  • no automatic price feed
  • betting closes a few days before the resolution date
  • and I will settle it manually using the CoinGecko price at 00:00 UTC on the chosen date

This is not a project, not an announcement, and definitely not a “let’s make money” post. It’s just a technical curiosity — a way to see how HivePredict handles manual markets and whether such tools could be useful for us in the future.

If you want to take a look or participate with a minimal stake, here’s the link:

I’m mostly interested in how the system behaves and whether anyone finds this type of experiment useful. If you have thoughts, ideas, or suggestions for future tests, feel free to drop them — I’m open to feedback from the community.

P.S - While setting this up, I also noticed that HivePredict supports Hive‑Engine tokens as betting currency, including ATF. I’m not using it for this market, but if there’s interest, I might experiment with that option in the future. It could be an interesting way to give ATF a small, practical use-case inside the Hive ecosystem.
