A coffee for the hope of rebirth | The Coffee Shop Prompt Week 150 [EN-ES]

Although my visits to cafes have been regular since adolescence, lately I have found myself going to one much more often because I haven't had coffee at home for several days, so it's easy to find me at some table in a cafe where I sit contemplating the surroundings while trying to try some of the menu offerings at the moment.

@cinnccf encourages us to recall a real moment we spent in a coffee shop; not a fantasy, but a real day. She asks us to remember that instant when, while drinking coffee, we noticed some small detail that stuck with us: a sound, a smell, a fleeting thought, or a person; and finally, she asks us to write about why that detail mattered and what it subtly revealed about our life situation at that moment.

Interestingly, while I was having my first cup of coffee here at Patio de Teresita, a nice cafe in my city, several moments happened that made me smile.

I was admiring the plants that decorated the place when suddenly the girl who serves the coffee sat down with me and started talking about some concerns I had. Her smile at the end of the conversation made me feel good, and I thanked her because I really needed to smile.

The music in the place varied and evoked moods that I tried not to let affect me.

I tried to focus for a moment on the people who were starting to arrive. Germans visiting the island for the first time, other acquaintances, and strangers, all chatting about various topics...

I ordered a double shot of whiskey to go with my coffee...

Right now, an international troubadour festival is taking place in Santa Clara, and musicians are arriving from all over. I know some of them, of course, and I was delighted to welcome one of the first to arrive from the neighboring city of Trinidad. We embraced immediately, sharing a smile.

Then there was a moment when I was alone again. I ordered another coffee. The music filled the café once more, evoking sad feelings in me, and I found myself pouring my thoughts onto a blank sheet of paper...

I wrote two poems. I turned one of them into a paper flower, burned it, and stood gazing at the flames, at its ashes...

I don't want to lose hope of being reborn like the Phoenix, I don't want to turn to ice, I want to smile again, and I hope it will happen someday soon...

With that hope, I'll say goodbye for now until our next cup of coffee, but not before sending you all a hug of light!

Si bien mis visitas a las cafeterías han sido habituales desde la adolescencia, últimamente me he visto acudiendo mucho más al encuentro de una pues hace varios días que no tengo café en casa, así que es fácil descubrirme en alguna mesa de alguna cafetería donde me siento a contemplar el entorno a la vez que trato de probar alguna que otra oferta del menú en el momento.

@cinnccf nos motiva a recordar un momento real que pasamos en una cafetería; no una fantasía, sino un día real. Nos pide evoquemos ese instante cuando, mientras tomamos el café, reparamos en algún pequeño detalle que nos quedó grabado: un sonido, un olor, un pensamiento fugaz o una persona; y finalmente nos pide escribir sobre por qué ese detalle importó y lo que reveló discretamente sobre nuestra situación vital del momento.

Curiosamente, mientras tomaba mi primera taza de café acá en el Patio de Teresita, agradable cafetería de mi ciudad, sucedieron varios momentos que me hicieron sonreír.

Contemplaba las plantas que decoran el lugar cuando de pronto la chica que sirve el café se sienta conmigo y comienza a dialogar sobre inquietudes que tenía. Su sonrisa, al terminar la charla, me hizo sentir bien y se lo agradecí pues realmente necesitaba sonreír.

La música en el lugar variaba y me provocaba estados de ánimo que intenté no me afectaran.

Traté de centrarme por un instante en las personas que comenzaban a llegar. Alemanes de visita por primera vez en la isla, otros conocidos, también desconocidos, todos charlando sobre temas diversos...

Pedí un trago doble de whisky para acompañar el café...

Justo en estos días se celebra en Santa Clara un festival internacional de trovadores y arriban músicos de diversos sitios. A algunos, por supuesto los conozco y me congratuló darle la bienvenida a uno de los primeros en arribar desde la vecina ciudad de Trinidad. El abrazo, no se hizo esperar con una sonrisa compartida.

Luego hubo un momento en que me quedé solo nuevamente. Pedí un nuevo café. La música volvió a inundar la cafetería de una manera que evocaba sentimientos tristes para mí y me descubrí haciendo catarsis en un papel en blanco...

Escribí dos poemas. Uno de ellos lo convertí en flor de papel, lo quemé y me quedé contemplando al fuego, sus cenizas...

No quiero perder las esperanzas de volver a renacer como el Ave Fénix, no quiero convertirme en hielo, quiero volver a sonreír y así espero suceda algún día no lejano...

Con esa esperanza, me voy despidiendo por ahora hasta una próxima taza de café, no sin antes regalarles a todos ¡un abrazo de luz!
