Birthdays and Perks.

I have been thinking, I have a free coffee that would expire in a few days. The barista at Costa Coffee did not let me pay until I completed registering for their Costa app, and I realized why.

Each dirham spent was worth 10 "beans", and accumulating 2000 beans, means free coffee. And I had 2000 "Welcome Beans", so that's 1 free coffee.

Then it was my birthday earlier this month. I checked the app, and yay, I had 2000 Beans Birthday Reward! But it was only valid for two weeks, and would expire in a couple of days.

I won't have any more time for this but today, so when I woke up, I went to the mall in my "I-woke-up-like-this-look". Lol, I just washed my face and tied my hair in a loose bun and off I went. ewww.. Good thing, the mall was still empty at 8:00AM, of course.

Free Coffee!

The barista greeted me a lively, "good morning". I showed him my QR code and told him I wanted to claim my free coffee.

He asked me what coffee I wanted. In hindsight, I could have said, "the priciest in your menu." LOL. But yeah, I opted for the classic Americano. "Large?" he asked. Of course, I said, "yes!".

Well, I did not know that I could choose. Even the size.

I sat down there for a few minutes, but eventually left. I still needed to prepare my children's breakfast! LOL.

Shine!

I took a few minutes out in the sun before finally coming inside the house. It was a pleasant morning, not too hot yet. Coffee and vitamin D. Perfect combo this morning.

Thankful for the free coffee, to that Costa barista who did not let me complete my payment until I register to the app. Lol. These simple pleasures are too easy to neglect, yet they could have a powerful impact on someone's day.
