PREFERENCE OF VIRTUAL LEARNING OVER PHYSICAL LEARNING

Alot of times people debate between virtual learning and physical learning trying to figure out which is better for them but I feel like in this current age that we are now where technological advancement has made things easier it is obvious that virtual learning is preferable to physical learning but that's my option though. In this modern day, online learning has become a necessity especially in cases where physical classes could not hold because of unnecessary distractions which always leads to the class been postponed or cancelled in general.

I remember my first experience with online classes was when I registered an elective course which was compulsory because everyone has to choose one among the two elective courses available to add up to the required course registration unit for a session so I did, but before the scheduled date for the class to hold, the lecturer called all of us that registered the course to his office and told us that the class is an online class and not a physical class so we just need to have the application on our phone's or laptop whichever one we want to use for the class and he recommended we download Zoom for the meeting and then he asked one of us to create a WhatsApp group for the course and add him to it so that he will send us the link for joining the meeting/class that he was hosting and the time to login the zoom app

Around 3pm on a Friday was when he hosted the meeting and I joined using the link he sent and there he was on a larger part of the screen while the rest of us were at the lower part listening to his introduction of the course which was transmitted smoothly without any glitch as if we were in a physical class only that we weren't. The lecturer explained what the course is all about and went deeper to explain things which made me really excited to have chosen this course because from his explanation there was no distractions or interruption from anywhere or anyone because he was seated in a room with nobody around and that was the same case with us the students especially me because I was alone with nobody to disturb or distract me and there was no external noise from outside my house either making everywhere quiet and assimilation easier

I really enjoyed the online class because I don't have to spend transportation going to school and neither does the lecturer, there was no external distractions from other students and the pace at which I tend to comprehend and understand the course was impeccable because the explanation by the lecturer was simple and the class was recorded and sent to the WhatsApp group by the lecturer for those who want to revisit the class again and gain more insight and understanding which is something that you cannot get in a physical class. I know that some of you will say that the virtual class do not provide the impromptu questions being asked among students incase the lecturer is not around, the heated discussions and debate about the topic or the fun of having to see your course mates around but don't forget that technology has become so advanced that such activities can still be carried out on digital platforms allowing Video Conferencing to accommodate a large number of people

The lecturer explained the course well but sitting at the comfort of my house and listening made it more easier for me and the flexibility and accessibility of the course being a virtual class made me wished for all my remaining classes to be online but that was just a wishful thinking. The benefits that online classes/virtual class provides are much in comparison to physical class because with the availability of digital tools and resources that virtual learning provides to help learners gain proficiency and achieve academic goals, the cost of transportation, hassles of going to class early, thinking of what to wear (especially the ladies) will be reduced greatly.

I will conclude by saying that virtual learning is more preferable for me than physical learning

I personally encourage virtual classes but not to in totality set aside physical classes. Availability to refine resources and diversification are much easier. This is insightful sir

True fact sir @chizzy100 diversification is good especially in the aspect of learning

Virtual learning is great because you can learn at your own pace and comfort, and you can always revisit, forward, if you have a misunderstanding..

But personally, I'd pick physical learning because of the experiences that comes with learning with your peers in a classroom and the rest πŸ˜‰

Even though I said I will choose virtual class over physical class but it's actually in most cases not all cases as I stated πŸ€”

Because I feel the connection that develops when you see your course mate physical and those discussions that just arises from no where 🀷🀷 are what I will consider in physical class

Much appreciated @kristabel123

I laughed at the end because it reminded me of my Uni days. For me the nicest part about going to class was looking for something to wear. I don’t know if it was a struggle to anyone but it was all part of the experience.

That's actually true because I have seen alot of ladies in that situation and I will say it's something else πŸ˜…

I guess it's not every lady that finds it to be a hassle but rather it's a lifestyle to others like yourself @abenad
