My Digital Keepsake: Saving A Piece Of Year 2024

When it comes to storing items on my phone or laptop, I could even save the ones I'll never use again whether movies, photos or documents. I was going through my phone some time ago and I came across a lecturer's pdf file from my university days and I'm like wondering what I'd use it to do now. This isn't the only case I've had.

A lot of movies I've seen already, I can't bring myself to have them deleted from my devices, they are there for reference purposes that may never happen. Why I'm saying all these is that, it's a difficult one for me to decide which digital memory to save for this year if I must as the prompt says. I had a hard time deciding just one.

This year have been amazing and full of new experiences, mistakes and progresses for me. Most of which I had in photos, videos, music and even documents as evidence. But if I am to go by priority or highlights in this year, it's in the photos and videos section. I did my one year service to my country in this year, although it ends January.

Before it ends, I've made so many memories that I've been adding to a photo file I created for it in my phone gallery. So if I must save only one digital memory from this year 2024, it definitely has to be the file I have my nysc story in it using photos. I sat next to a camera man after paying him to get as much photos as possible at first.

And after that first month of my service, it's been random shots of my service experience and I just add them to the file. The man named the file after my service state code which I thought it was cool so I didn't bother to change it even now. It's a file that you could go through and know about my experience in my nysc year without much stories.

I can also get to see and remember the friends I made at camp using this file, there are also a few videos in it too but there are mostly photos. It's a memory I've kept and would love to keep even going forward. I wish I could save my music and video list too as I've been actively updating them because of my love for new release and updates.

Since I could actually have them re-downloaded, music and movie videos, it's the major reason I won't bother going for these options to be saved for the year. I can't go for service again so saving these now and later is the best option for me. They are a one time experience thing and I want to appreciate having them by taking them along.

I also had a very amazing training on a course and could have also like to save the photos I got from there so I guess I could add those to my nysc file hehe, no loses there. Going forward, there would be more memories to create and save for the coming years. I wish I had all the memory space to save all I want (just kidding).
