WEB 3 COMPLEXITY

I grew weary of onboarding new people after I ran ads, got over 1k people interested and decided to organize a training for all of them only to end up with 3 people interested. Although I did not anticipate the turnover to be huge, I grew weary because I saw just how much effort it would take to get people to learn new things and it won’t even matter if it is something that would change their lives for good. Over the last three years I have come to understand that only very few will be willing to learn the complexity of the web 3 system from scratch, and only very few from this set of people would be willing to put in the work.

I mean even the person who onboarded me is now too tired to put in the work, talkless of those she onboarded. I’m the only one actively remaining out of 21 of us onboarded the same day. Although there is one who still posts once a while, her reputation is still at 59 and she has not really made much on hive. I sometimes look at her and wonder how someone who I deem to be more intelligent than me is still not making money on Hive. She too has brought a good number of people and I honestly don’t know how they are doing but I pray they do better than her.

Some people see Hive as a place of luck while others see it as a place of opportunity and you can’t take away the fact that you can’t change how people see things, not even when you have proven to be successful in it. Someone who thinks Hive is complex will only see problems and not go far and this is not something we have power over as onboarders. This is why I now only introduce people who have proven to be serious with learning and have a never give up attitude. There are those I do not onboard no matter what because I know they won’t take it seriously. I think what has worked for me so far is onboarding people who like to showcase their skills because they are just going to be doing what they love and making money from it. But then again, I will only onboard the serious ones among them.
