Hi, everyone.
Back to #POBPhotocontest. This week's topic is PLANTS.
And here is my entry.
This pretty little plant called succulent.
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, succulent means full of juice (juicy), moist and tasty, toothsome, having fleshy tissues that conserve moisture.
The word succulent comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning 'juice', or 'sap'. In botany, succulent plants a.k.a succulents are plants with parts that are thickened, fleshy, and engorged, usually to retain water in arid climates or soil conditions. For example, a cactus or an aloe. (Wikipedia)
Succulents are often grown as ornamental plants because of their striking and unusual appearance, as well as their ability to thrive with relatively minimal care. (Wikipedia)
