To Textile Or Not To Textile! by @erikah

Every time I look at your posts, I like this idea of textile art more and more, and I also think that the technique and development of the work, no matter how complicated it may be, plus the variety of materials used, contribute to its quality. True works of art.
When I saw the second one, I was amazed, especially by the amount of materials, the colours, textures and the borders you made, which are fabulous. I stared at it for a long time.
Then the third piece is impressive, but when the stitching is done by hand, I am simply speechless. A work of art that is worth seeing in every detail.

That place looks amazing! The resort, the white sand beach, the small "mercadillo"... I heard that Cuba isn't that expensive compared to other tourist places, so I suppose you can "treat yourself" another time too... I would do it for sure, and I hope I will visit Cuba one day!

Modern society pushes both women and men towards unattainable perfection, but since the burden of caregiving falls mainly on us, that pressure and lack of rest are accentuated. They make you feel selfish for taking time to care for yourself, when it is essential to conserve the energy needed to continue caring for others, in an endless cycle. However, the responsibility lies not with others but with ourselves. We are the ones who allow ourselves to be influenced, and we have much more power than we think to change our circumstances. Of course, change is not easy and requires good self-esteem and a willingness to lose friends or even family. Your final tips are very wise, and I encourage all your readers to put them into practice because they work and life changes for the better.

The Basilica of Santa Teresa reminds me a lot of our Basilica del Pilar, which is also neoclassical in style and has numerous domes. This one is smaller but it is so beautiful. The image of the Nazarene looks beautiful despite the distance, with its purple tunic embroidered in gold. These images usually attract large numbers of devotees from all over. What I see is that the square has few shaded areas, so it must be inadvisable to be there when the heat is intense. City planning is becoming less and less suited to living in cities. Here, when they renovate any square, the same thing happens. By the way, apart from the basilica, I was impressed by the photo of the National Electoral Council. You achieved a perfect frame, and the image faithfully conveys the idea that it is a building that represents power. Thank you for sharing this corner of your beloved Caracas with us.

Remembering the days spent on the river by @duskobgd

Oh, man... Instead of having more free time, sometimes we have more work on our shoulders and no time for these "little pleasures"... As I grew by the river too, it's hard to imagine a place of living without water in sight... Ironically, now I do... and to be honest, I'm struggling...
I like those photos by the river, the famous checkered tablecloth in the restaurants/bars, and that fish stew too! Just packing to go fishing, and if I'm lucky, maybe I will send you a photo of fish soup from Spain! 😃
