Extension, Transforming Agriculture: How Agriculture Became My Passion.

If I could pick the perfect career path, I wouldn’t stray far from what I already studied, which is Agricultural Technology with my focus on Extension, agriculture doesn’t always sound fancy, cause It’s not tech, crypto and all, but it’s something that has shaped me shaped my mindset and also helped the way I see the world. Food is everything, agriculture is everything. It’s the one thing that connects the richest billionaire to the humblest farmer in the village. And for me, with what I studied, I have come to understand that agriculture is not just about crops and livestock, its about knowledge, about people, about growth and also transformation.

Studying Agricultural Extension changed how I see development. Knowledge isn't useful when locked down in lecture halls or in books, what’s the point of scientific breakthroughs in farming if the people who actually grow our food never hear about them? And here is where extension comes in, extension is the bridge between innovation and reality, its the bridge between theories and practice, its also the bridge between researchers in the labs and the farmers on the field. I just love all the more cause also it is one of a kind, a careerr built on communication, one that offers solutions to problems one that causes difference, one that brings about ease, one that empower farmers/people to build a life...

I love making good use of knowledge and I love making impacts. Its the kind of career that makes one understand people’s struggles, their fears, and their land. There this humbling, happy sensation in watching an elderly farmer light up when he finally understood a new planting technique that could double his yield. Its a work, career, course that brings about hope. One that promises and gives a better income and a better life.

Though, I have explored different career paths, but that love hasn’t faded. I see how the world is changing, how technology is transforming every sector, and I can't but imagine the possibilities for agriculture. Imagine a world where every farmer gets updates on weather patterns through a simple app, world where student learn modern farming techniques, a world where we can make online contents of various agricultural techniques, a world where extension services offers, includes or do podcasts, videos and social media platforms that could reach millions.

I still see myself in there, but in a more dynamic way. I want to study how digital communication can make agricultural extension more effective. I want to explore how behavioral science can help us understand why people resist change, even when it benefits them. I want to dive deeper into agribusiness, passion is important but there's the need for sustainable systems that make farming profitable.

And beyond all the technical knowledge, I want to keep learning how we can make agriculture more appealing to young people. Because to be real, most youths don’t dream of being farmers. But what if they saw agriculture differently? What if they saw agribusiness also as wealth-building instead of just hard labor. What if we can make them realize and come to the understanding that food security is just as important as oil, real estate, tech and entertainment.

My ideal career path is one that allows me to blend knowledge with impact, one that helps connect people with solutions, one that uses media and technology to change narratives. Knowledge is powerful but only when shared, cause theres no point in studying something if it doesn’t translate into something meaningful.
