A Visit to my Rice Farm

My visit to my rice farm was something I had been looking forward to for some time. About a month ago, my brother and I went to the farm to make ridges to plant rice.

Making ridges for a rice farm is one of the hardest types of ridges you can make because the ground is usually very hard, compared to making ridges on normal loamy soil.

The soil for rice farming are often close to a water source or in areas that hold water and sometimes these areas can be tough and packed that making ridges can sometimes be hard.

About a month ago, my brother and I went to prepare the land and make the ridges.

We spent hours preparing the land and after we finished planting the rice, I hadn’t been able to visit the farm again since that period.

Work has been keeping me busy and the farm is not close to the house, so going there wasn’t something I could easily do anytime. But even at my busy schedule, I always had the farm in mind.

Yesterday, I finally got the chance to go and check on the rice farm and see how things were growing. On getting close to the farm, I discovered that everywhere was germinating. The whole farm was covered in rice plant. All the ridges we had made were filled with well germinated rice seedlings. I walked around the farm and looked at how the plants were growing and I was really happy seeing that they germinated.

So far, rain have been falling consistently. For the past three days, it had been raining regularly and rice farm as we know loves water alot. It needs a lot of water to grow properly. That is why rice is mostly planted in areas that hold water or have soft, moist soil. It grows best in wet soil and places where water can stay for a while and thank God the rain had did a great job of falling and watering the farm.

I was just busy walking through the farm, seeing how that the water had soaked into the ground, helping the roots of the rice plants grow well. There was no sign of damage or erosion. Everything looked okay. The growth of the rice plants was even and everything looks good.

I hope it continues like that untill the harvesting period.

Oh wow... That looks great and amazing and I must say this is my first time of seeing how rice plantation looks like.

Agriculture requires time alongside the efforts so probably your mentioned brother could continually help you out with the farm visit or inspection
