(EN/DE) 250 € for terminally ill children

Ende Dezember noch etwas Gutes tun
Wer diesen Blog oder auch den von @kheldar1982 etwas länger verfolgt weiß, dass ich schon mehrfach für Kinderhospize gespendet habe.
Die letzten Monate eines schwerkranken Kindes sind nicht nur für das Kind, sondern auch für die gesamte Familie und das Umfeld eine große Herausforderung und Belastung. Gut, dass es hier Unterstützung gibt.
Während ich bisher Vereine wie Balthasar oder Bärenherz in Deutschland unterstützt habe, hat mich @schmidi auf das Kinderhospitz Netz in Österreich aufmerksam gemacht.
Wie versprochen geht die Dezemberspende dorthin.
Doing something good at the end of December
Anyone who has been following this blog or @kheldar1982's blog for a while knows that I have donated to children's hospices several times.
The last months of a seriously ill child's life are a huge challenge and burden, not only for the child, but also for the entire family and their community. It's good that there is support available.
While I have previously supported organizations such as Balthasar and Bärenherz in Germany, @schmidi brought the Kinderhospitz Netz (Children's Hospice Network) in Austria to my attention.
As promised, my December donation will go to them.
Kinderhospiz Netz
Das Kinderhospiz Netz spinnt, wie der Name schon sagt, ein Netz für das Umfeld eines todkranken Kindes.
Dazu gehört Hilfe bei der Beantragung von Versorgungs- und Unterstützungsleistung, die Betreuung in der Einrichtung des Hospizes und zu Hause, sowie Hilfe bei der Umstellung des ganzen Lebens auf die neue Situation.
Die Diagnose, dass das eigene Kind, der Bruder oder die Schwester nicht mehr lange zu Leben hat, ist grausam und lebensverändert. Gut das es die Hospize gibt, die Familien auf diesem Wege begleiten. Ihre Arbeit ist nicht hoch genug einzuschätzen.
Kinderhospiz Netz
As its name suggests, the Children's Hospice Netz weaves a network for the environment of a terminally ill child.
This includes assistance with applying for care and support services, care in the hospice facility and at home, as well as help in adjusting one's entire life to the new situation.
The diagnosis that your own child, brother, or sister does not have long to live is cruel and life-changing. It is good that there are hospices that accompany families on this journey. Their work cannot be valued highly enough.
