I Changed, But Not the Way Life Expected.

You know, I happen to be a very deep thinker. Like, I think a lot, deeply. I was just thinking back to the various things life had made me go through and all of that; now merging it to who I am today, all I can say is, I see where this new part of me came from.

I've had quite a few experiences, most of which I would say are way bigger than my age. Yeah, if you see me being more gentle, careful, loving, and prioritizing my health today, it's not because I just woke up one morning and decided it that way; nah, it's actually because life has given me several reasons to be.

I've shared my stories here a number of times, and you will agree with me that the things I survived are things that should have broken me. You will also agree that I could have been more inhumane, uncaring, and all-considering given what I've had to go through, but I refused to. I choose to be better.

Those experiences has made me a better human and made me to become very appreciative. Also, I've as well learned that not everyone who smiles at you is wishing you well, meaning you have to be very careful with humans. Not as if you shouldn't care or love, but in all your doings, be wise.

The fact that I've survived hard and difficult things doesn't mean I should become hard too. Nah, it's surprising how I'm still this soft, emotional, and all. I'm honestly proud of myself. I'm proud of myself for not turning out bitter.

Even though I wouldn't say I'm still the same person I was before. I'm now a better person.
