My Week in Review for April 26, 2025, Looking Great!

This has been a great week overall for Bitcoin and Hive. It's been nice to see Bitcoin push back up above $90,000, there may be hope yet for a push above $100,000. The nice thing is that Hive has followed along nicely to around $0.25, it would have been nicer to see it push to above $0.30. But sometimes you take the win in any form it comes in, and there be more positive price action if Bitcoin manages to top $100,000.

A little less than a year ago I joined the Saturday Savers group to help me to better define and focus on achieving my goals here on Hive. It really has helped to review my weekly progress. This week I did finish up my secondary goal of the year, which was very exciting. Each week I also share some other goals I'm working on or things that I find interesting. So here we go!

Hive Power

This year's primary goal is to reach 10,000 staked HP.

Current HP: 7,858 (78.6%) complete
Goal HP: 10,000

I increased my HP by just about 105 this week, not too bad. This next week I should cross the 8K mark with Hive Power Up Day coming up. This goal is feeling very reachable!

PIMP

Reaching 50,000 staked PIMP was my secondary goal of the year. I am happy to report that the mission is complete.

PIMP: 50,386 (100% complete)

Now that I have this one squared away I can focus more on my HP and other projects. I will still be picking up more PIMP though when the price is right!

PIMP is a great project that is backed by physical silver and Bitcoin, so I have a lot of faith in this one!

DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day as well. For those who stake 500 you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. Not a bad deal!

My current holdings:

DUO total: 1,477

Goal: I don't have a set goal, but I'm purchasing more two or three times a week. I wouldn't mind hitting 2,000 this year though. I also give some away in my weekly giveaway on Sunday if we want a chance to win some for free!

The @duo-curator account already has more that 41,780 HP and is growing daily. I'm focusing on picking up more DUO before the current tranche runs out, and it's starting to run low. Next tranche will be selling at 1.5 Hive each instead of the current 1 Hive price.

90% of all earnings from curations, posts, and tips are paid out in the form of dividends, the remaining 10% is permanently powered up. All revenue from token sales is permanently powered up and will never be powered down. That way our curations will only get better and we can also help new onboards here on Hive.

DBOND, DAB, and RUG

I have been invested in this project since it's inception. I currently hold:

DBOND: 304
DAB: 61
RUG: 25

By staking your DBOND tokens it generates DAB tokens. DAB can be either staked to produce more DBOND or unstaked and then it pays you in daily liquid Hive. I personally stake mine to build up my DBOND levels and produce more DAB.

RUG was a newer project, and despite the name is a solid project. It invests outside of Hive, imports the profits and pays out in the the form of DBOND. I've only recently started to buy some as these as it launched about the same time as we were starting DUO. I will continue to pick up some of these when I get a good deal.

EDSI

EDSI has been one I've been chipping away at this year, although not a primary or even secondary goal. Here's my total so far this year:

EDSI: 123

Soft goal is to make it to 200, I currently have a buy order in for a few more. Still waiting for it to get filled!

CCD

I mentioned this project last week. I currently hold:

CCD: 521,745
Soft goal: 1,000,000

This project was created by @powerpaul who has been building the @cryptocompany for three years now. The in game currency is the CryptoCompany Dollar (CCD). Benefits of staking it can be significant. Those who hold one million can claim one HSBI daily, if you have 500K you can claim an HSBI twice a week, and at 100K you can claim an HSBI once a month.

@powerpaul is a builder and has had two successful seasons of his game Bro Bang. Third season is coming up in the near future, you can win LGN, Hive, and CCD. I also delegate to his project to earn CCD and I think his project has a bright future! If you want to help support his project buy some tokens and delegate to @cryptocompany and you can earn some nice rewards!

Silver and Gold

Silver and Gold have always been safe havens for investors. It's been that way for thousands of years, that's why metal detectorists occasionally find caches of silver and gold coins that the owner buried to keep safe. They understood the value of of the metals, but sadly in their case the owner failed to retrieve it.

Today, investors flock to gold to escape risk in the markets which is why gold prices have been climbing so steadily this year. It may have had a down week, but I wouldn't count it out. I wouldn't be surprised to see gold hit $4,000 per Troy ounce this year, and silver $50.

Every week I like to showcase some silver or gold that is on special, and this week there is a great deal on some Mexican silver.

This is one beautiful piece of silver created by the Mexican Mint. This is not technically a coin since there is no denomination stated on it, so it's considered a silver round. Right now it's priced at $39.35 per Libertad at APMEX.com, that's a great deal as these tend to be fairly expensive these days. You can never go wrong investing in some high quality Mexican silver!

Both silver and gold will be great bets down the road, and historically they are a great way to build wealth.

There are several other projects I'm working on as well, but this post would be way too long to include them all. I will be swapping in some others next week to keep things interesting!
