My Week in Review for May 24, 2025, Pushing Closer to 10K HP!

Saturday at last! I've always loved Saturdays, maybe because as a kid school was out. At any rate, it's always been my favorite day of the week! I'm already on my second cup of coffee enjoying my backyard, it's always so peaceful on the weekend. It's also a great place to start working on my post for the day.

For the last year or so, this has become the day of the week I work on more financially related posts. Today will be no exception as we have all had a pretty good week in the world of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin hit a new at time high, of course there was an expected pullback to test support levels which seem to be holding around $108,000. Hopefully the trend will continue on a northward trajectory.

Hive has been a little more volatile but holding support at around $0.26. Would we all like to see that much higher? Absolutely. Will we see another push upward towards $0.40? I don't know. The concerns over HBD debt and spending may be holding it down. Time will tell, but I would love to see Hive soar towards an all time Hive, as I'm sure we all would!

Now moving onto the Saturday Savers portion of my weekly post. I joined the community just under a year ago to help me focus on my growth here on Hive. It really has made a big difference, by defining your goals clearly and reviewing the progress weekly, you are much more likely to achieve them. I have found myself making adjustments in strategy week by week to keep on track. So far this year I have met two goals already and I'm closing in on my primary goal of Hive Power rather quickly.

Let's get started!

Hive Power

This year's primary goal is to reach 10,000 staked HP.

Current HP: 8,450 (84.5%) complete
Goal HP: 10,000

I increased my HP by 135 this week, a hair better than last time. I'm hoping to have this goal completed in less than two more months. Once I hit that 10K line it's going to feel great, and then maybe on toward 12K or higher!

PIMP

This goal is complete, now maybe towards 100K? Not a new goal at the moment, but I do love the token!

PIMP: 53,627 (107.3% complete)
Goal: 50,000

If you don't own any PIMP you really should, it's backed by physical silver and by BTC.

DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day as well. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well.

I'm sure I'll exceed this goal easily, as I pick up more tokens every week!

LEO

This year I had set a goal to reach 5,000 Leo. Having already met it, I'll continued to power up LEO on power up days and keep building my stack. I was fortunate enough to win a 10K LEO delegation from LEO Power Up Day for one month, so it should help me earn more tokens through curation!

EDSI

EDSI has been one goal I've been working on slowly this year, and continue to do so. I'm up two tokens this week.

EDSI: 128 (64% complete)
Goal: 200

This goal is a soft one, I do have some buy orders in to try and get some good deals. So far no takers! I will have to increase my buying to make it to the goal on this one though.

CCD

I continue to earn CCD tokens from my HP I have delegated to the project. I still would like to make it to one million staked tokens as it offers more HSBI benefits. I'm up about 1000 tokens over the last week.

CCD current: 525,000 roughly (52.5% of the goal)
Soft goal: 1,000,000

This project was created by @powerpaul who has been building the @cryptocompany for three years now. The in game currency is the CryptoCompany Dollar (CCD). Benefits of staking it can be significant. Those who hold one million can claim one HSBI daily, if you have 500K you can claim an HSBI twice a week, and at 100K you can claim an HSBI once a month.

Silver and Gold

The precious metals are showing new signs of strength as more people flock to them for stability. I still believe gold will hit $4,000 per Troy ounce this year, and silver will like push past $40. Next year we will all likely look back at today's prices like they were a fire sale! I personally will be buying more little by little.

This world of ours is growing more unsteady week by week. That will only drive the prices higher on metals, so I would recommend owning some. Here are the charts of silver and gold over the last five days, you will notice the trend of strengthening prices:

The most practical way to invest in gold right now is in micro gold, in other words amounts much less than one Troy ounce. Every week I'm always keeping my eyes open for some good deals that can be a great way to increase your gold or silver holding at a good price. I love what I found for today on APMEX.com! Not only is it my favorite gold design, they are somewhat affordable.

The 1/10th of a Troy ounce Gold Eagle coins are produced by the US Mint and you will receive a random year. That's part of the reason they are priced well, they are trying to reduce their stock on hand of certain years. As of the time of writing each one is $387.59 down from $431.59 regular price. That's a very nice discount!

Both silver and gold will be great bets down the road, and historically they are a great way to build wealth.
