Over that last several weeks I have been playing a new game built here on Hive called Stake House Den. It's part of Arcade Colony and is a casino game that let's you have the fun of playing casino games without losing any actual money. So far there are three games available to play: roulette, slots, and my personal favorite black jack. Poker will also soon be joining the available games.

I have written tutorial guides to help you get started in my first and second posts about Stake House Den. Probably the best one to get you started can be found at the link here.

So far this game has been a lot of fun! I know some games people play for profits, but this one I'm doing exclusively for the fun. If I happen to earn a few bucks along the way, I won't complain. To get started you will need to buy Lady Luck card packs which have gaming cards inside which you can stake to earn in game currency, and you will also need Script token as well to stake those cards. It's also a good idea to stake some Colony as the more you have staked the more you can win.

The Colony Staking Factor is like a multiplier on your winnings. You'll see what I mean near the end of this post. So lets jump in and open some Lady Luck packs!

First off I decided it would be fun to open a few Lady Luck card packs and see how much luck I have at getting some nice pulls. So under menu I went into my packs.

I opened two packs and then another two using legendary and gold flux to increase my odds of getting legendary and gold cards. Those can be purchased at the same spot you buy the packs on the Arcade Colony main site and aren't expensive. You will need five per pack, so keep that in mind!

The first opening was pretty good, pulling a gold King of Hearts and a gold 6 of Diamonds. But more importantly, I pulled a red Joker which is a legendary card!

Now this next two pack opening treated me really well! I pulled a gold Queen of Diamonds, and even better a gold foil black Joker legendary card!

So value wise how did I come out you might ask? The gold foil black Joker has none listed for sale, there is a gold foil red one available with an asking price of $349. So theoretically I could list it for the same price, but this one I am going to keep to try to level up later on. The gold foil King and Queen will be placed on the marketplace for $9.99 a piece. The red Joker I will hang onto as well, it's price is trending at about $39. At least that's the asking price, it doesn't mean someone is willing to pay that much!

The marketplace is still very low in volume, as a matter of fact none have sold in the last day. Hopefully it will pick up as more players get interested in this great game!

Next up, I claimed my Hot Sauce in the refrigerator and as you can see today I will be playing with just over 2K Hot Sauce. This is the currency you use to play the casino games, so you aren't playing with real money. It is earned by staking your cards and you can see more information on it in one my old posts at this link.

Black Jack

While you can play roulette and slots, I prefer sticking with black jack. That is at least until poker is released! I like to bet 200 Hot Sauce per round as it gives me decent earning on wins. However my first six hands today we all losers or pushes! Talk about an unlucky streak!

After I had blown through most of my Hot Sauce with almost nothing to show for it, I finally got some wins on lower bets as my currency was running low.

Once I had exhausted my Hot Sauce I exited the black jack to see my winnings, a little over two Colony. Really not very good today. But you can't win them all I suppose!

And then onto check my status on the leaderboard. I'm at number 8, down a little from last week. To really climb here I will need a lot more cards staked to produce more Hot Sauce and increase my Colony stake. Right now I only have 50K staked and so my Colony Staking Factor isn't nearly as high as it needs to be! I plan to invest in 10K Colony a week to increase my stake regularly.

Overall, a very fun day! This really is a fun game and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys casino gaming. This is currently my favorite game on Hive!
