Earthshot is an initiative that inspires people with positive cleantech solutions to combat climate change. They connect cleantech innovation with popular culture through digital platforms and storytelling, creating a positive impact on people’s lives and creating excitement for a greener future. Their projects include raising awareness through the game Fortnite and increasing energy efficiency by replacing old air conditioners in California.
Earthshot is a platform associated with The Earthshot Prize, which recognizes and supports innovative projects to solve environmental problems. The Earthshot Prize is a global award launched in 2020 by Prince William and Sir David Attenborough. The prize aims to tackle five major environmental challenges facing the world by 2030, known as "Earthshots".Click here to learn more about this topic.
This project is part of another project by the non-profit organization Earthshot, called SUPERCHARGED, which uses digital platforms and the power of storytelling to promote clean technology and sustainable practices. "SUPERCHARGED!" is also a graphic novel that tells the story of environmental science student Kara Quintana and farmer Jack Wilson's exciting journey as they compete for a $10 billion prize at the Los Angeles Auto Show with a high-capacity, sustainable battery, but encounter various obstacles along the way. The story sheds light on clean energy technology and electric vehicles, which is both educational and entertaining for readers. Such stories are added to their platform to raise awareness and also provide some prizes and stars for those who blog about them.
