Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about the Stun Ability and Knock Out Ability combo and one of my favorite strategies, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
When a Unit with the Stun Ability hit a target, there is a 50% chance that the target will skip its next turn. A stunned Unit cannot attack and also cannot use abilities, so stunning an enemy can mess up the opponents' strategy, which is why I use this ability very often in battles. However, Stun can be cleansed.
When a Unit with the Knock Out Ability does double damage when hitting an enemy that is stunned. Therefore, Stun is required to trigger Knock Out. And I think when you include Knock Out Ability in your lineup, make sure to include Stun Ability as well.
Using the Stun Ability and the Knock Out Ability together is really useful. It can help me a lot in defeating even very powerful opponents, so it is one of my favorite combos.
In battles with the Heavy Hitters Ruleset, all Units have the Knock Out Ability, so if the target is stunned, they deal double damage, so I would include the Stun Ability in my lineup without hesitation.
I also include abilities like Giant Killer in my lineup, especially in high-mana battles. Units with the Giant Killer Ability deal double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana. When a Unit with Giant Killer and Knock Out hits a Stunned target that costs 10 or more mana, it deals 4x damage to it, which is a truly brutal hit.
Stun and Knock Out abilities are really useful when used together and I would like to say that when you use them with a good strategy, they can help you defeat even very powerful opponents. You can take what I said above into consideration when determining your strategy, however, do not forget that this very powerful combo can be used against you by your opponents, so I recommend that you take precautions against them, especially including the Cleanse Ability in your lineup will be very useful against this combo. The Cleanse Ability removes all negative effects on the unit in the first position on the friendly team. Let's examine a battle that I think will be a good example of some of what I said above.
According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters will have the Knock Out Ability, Units with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance to evade attacks, and we can only summon units with odd mana costs.
Although it is more advantageous to have low speed in the battle, I chose Helios Matriarch as a summoner because I believe Dragons can be effective in this battle and I wanted to use a Gladiator card. Helios Matriarch will give +1 speed to all Monsters in my team, which will be a bit of a disadvantage for my team, but I would like to say that I attach great importance to choosing Units with low speed. Specifically, I added Water Caller to my team, who only has 1 speed and the Stun Ability. Since all Monsters on my team will have the Knock Out Ability in battle, if Water Caller stuns the enemy, it will make the enemy much easier to destroy. I also added the Giant Killer Ability to my lineup.
Round 1
Since it only had 1 speed, Water Caller made the first attack and managed to stun Noa the Just, making it easier to destroy Noa the Just, and although it was brought back to life with the Resurrect Ability, it could not escape being destroyed a second time.
By the way, as we saw in the first round, when a Stunned Unit is brought back to life after dying, the Stun is removed.
Round 2
In the first round, 2 Monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, and in the second round, another Monster from the opposing team was destroyed. All the Monsters on my team were still alive.
Round 3
In the third round, Water Caller stunned Runemancer Kye as well, and it was easily destroyed by the serious damage it took.
In particular, the damage dealt to Runemancer Kye by Swamp Spitter with the Giant Killer Ability was remarkable. Runemancer Kye only had 1 health, but I wanted you to see how much damage a Unit with Giant Killer and Knock Out could do to a stunned target that costs 10 or more mana.
Round 4
The opposing team had only 2 Monsters left, and it wasn't hard to destroy them in the fourth round, and my team managed to win the battle.
The battle only lasted 4 rounds and my team managed to win the battle pretty easily. No monsters from my team could be destroyed, and there was no need to even use the Resurrect Ability, If a Monster from my team could be destroyed, the Resurrect Ability would bring it back to life with 1 health, but in this battle, even that was not needed. My strategy worked very well in this battle, and it clearly showed how useful Stun Ability and Knock Out Ability can be used together, so I love this combo and I can say that it is one of my favorite strategies, it can be very useful even against very powerful opponents.
