If you are active on Hive and not only come here to read and write posts but also love to interact with different projects that run on this chain, then most probably by now you have read about Moonkarts and might have tried this game too. Moonkarts is really making hype not only on Hive and beyond and this play2earn game is really an advanced level project in my opinion. Because, while most of the other crypto based play2earn games are basically card games with 2D User-Interface with only little interaction with the actual gameplay, in Moonkarts you can actually enjoy thrilling gameplay with cool 3D graphics while getting all the features of a play2earn game.
Now for me, I have been playing this game for around 2 months now and I have to admit, after spending some time in this game racing against other players, the game stars are becoming addictive. The developers have worked hard in the background to build such cool gameplay mechanisms and attractive Visual graphics while leveraging the power of blockchain technology. Now, I have already made a little investment in the game after buying Packs, Cards, Script and Colony tokens in order to start my racing career in Moonkarts. In one of my previous posts, I talked about my Accessory NFT cards which I used in my racing setup and moving forward, today I will be talking about my top Tech Cards that I use in my racing setup for multiplayer. So, if you are interested, let us take a dive without any further ado.
Tech cards are NFT cards in Moonkarts and these cards actually represent different types of car parts in the game, which you can attach to your Kart to enhance its overall performance. There are different types of Tech cards in the game, like - Tire, Engine, Body Reinforcement kit, etc and each of these tech cards holds some amount of stats like Health, Acceleration, Handling, etc. When you attach these tech parts in your Kart, their stats get added to your racing setup. So, it is important to carefully install them into your Kart according to your needs. Now in some cases, you would need more speed or Acceleration and in some cases, you would ask for more health or handling. So choosing the right set of tech cards for different karts or racing tracks is very important to be competitive in this game.
In the screenshot above, you can see my current racing setup, which I use to play in multiplayer. As usual, I am using the Quasar Sports Epic Kart with the Aurora rare Driver card and in one of my previous posts, I have also talked about my top accessories cards which you can see here as well and moving on and looking at my Tech Cards, right now I am only using 2 Tech cards in my racing setup and not to mention, both of them are really helping me on the tracks. Before I start talking about these 2 Tech Cards, you may be wondering why I am using only 2 Tech cards and not all 4. So first of all, as my racing setup is of low level, so the first slot has not been unlocked yet as you can see the first select button is grey. Also, adding more tech parts can increase your overall Fuel consumption and depletes your fuel stores faster. As you can see, this racing setup is currently charging me 42.55 Fuel per multiplayer race. Finally, I also don't have enough good cards to add in there, so I decided why not just add 2 cards. Now, let’s move on to my top 2 tech cards below and now let’s see if you like them I have a better suggestion for me.
The first card that I would like to share here is my Wheels of Tire Alignments. Wheels mainly give you more control over your kart while driving in those spiral roads and the better rarity and level your wheels are, the Handling control stat it will provide to your racing setup. Now for me, I didn't buy any particular Wheel cards from the card market and only have this particular Wheel card shown in the above screenshot that I got by opening Centauri packs. But instead of being a cheap Common type card, this Tire Alignment card has been very helpful to me.
Though this card’s main focus is to increase handling stats, it also boosts the Speed and Acceleration of a Kart, so this card alone brings you 3 different types of Stat increments but costs only a few cents because of its common rarity, not to mention its fuel potential/ cost is also very low, 0.85 to be exact. So, I don't prefer to use this card, or any other common or rare cards to stake in auto vault, but for its decent level stats, I always use it in my racing setup and will continue until I get my hands off some really better wheels. Now looking at its level wise stats, I only have a Level 1 Tire Alignment card and it gives me 9 Speed Stat, 2.1 Acceleration Stat and 27 Handling stats. However, as you keep upgrading its level by merging more cards, all of its 3 stats get increased and at max level 10, it possesses 9.9 Speed Stats, 3 Acceleration Stats and a massive 45 Handling. As you can clearly see, though its Speed and Acceleration don't grow that much, its handling stats increased at rapid speed after each level and from only 27 at level 1, it increased 18 points upon reaching the final level and went to 45.
The wheels will protect and enhance your tire performance,l and also increase your Handling by a good margin. But how will you use it anyway if you don’t have a good engine? In Moonkarts, there are different types of Engine Refinement cards available and as you can see above, the best Engine card that I own right now is an Epic Engine Refinement card. This card not only looks more shiny and cool, but it also gives way better stats than an average Engine card. The main feature of Engine cards is to increase your Top Speed stats by a high margin, but sometimes, it also gives you a little Acceleration stats as well, especially if you are using a higher rarity card. I also didn't buy any engine cards from the market and luckily, I found this awesome Engine card while opening Centauri packs and have been using this card in my racing setup ever since.
Unlike common or rare cards or even gold foil Common cards, Epic cards generally hold significantly more Fuel Potential/Cost. My Epic Engine Refinement card has a fuel cost/potential of 11.9, so I try to keep it staked whenever I am not actively playing Moonkarts and earn a bunch of extra fuel from it. Now, looking at its level wise stats, I hold this card only at level 1 and at this level, this card possesses only 62.6 Speed and 3.5 Acceleration. But, as you keep upgrading this card, it gets a whooping 77.6 Speed and 4.5 Acceleration when it reaches its max level of 6. As it is an Epic type card, it only takes a total of 50 cards to reach max level and though its acceleration only increases by 1 from level 1 to max level, its top speed gets increased by a whopping 15, which will definitely bring big differences when racing. So I am thinking of upgrading this card in the future, if I manage to accumulate enough cards.

This game really catches my attention, but being on the notebook I'm afraid it will be damaged, how much power will it take? Maybe I should wait for the mobile version, or repair my desktop PC.
