Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Welcome to my blog where I discuss about my game progress and status. Our guild just finished another fun brawl. We earned some decent SPS and Merits in the process. I was able to buy some Gladius packs and acquire new cards. In this post, I'll discuss about our recent brawl and updates to my account.
Our guild placed in top three this time. We won 103 battles and lost 65, gaining 115 crowns to be used in our guild buildings.
I contributed six wins out of eight battles. Each of us were rewarded 6,000 Merits and 90 SPS.
My SPS stack has grown to 16,280 tokens from continuous playing and winning battles and guild brawls.
I bought three Gladius cases and got fifteen new cards. Today's pull was not so lucky with no epic or legendary cards in sight! The cards I got were only commons and rares.
I was able to upgrade a card to level 6. Witch of Warwick gained a new ability, Affliction but lost one health in the process. A new ability is much more valuable that a health stat in my opinion.
I decided my line up in this battle based on the above rulesets. I wanted my units to have high damage so I picked units with three damage and above. Luckily, the ruleset included Close Range so I had no problems choosing mostly ranged units.
My newly upgraded archon. I can use him regularly in battles now, having bought some cards last week and upgrading him to level three. I have a lot of high damage dealers in the Dragon splinter so I'm prioritizing to upgrade this archon to level four.
A very reliable tank. He has both offensive and defensive tools. He can deal four melee damage and has five speed. For defense he has six armor and nine health. His abilities are also a combination of offense and defense. He has Enfeeble to weaken his opponent's attacks and Dodge to avoid getting hit.
Night Reaper is my favorite Dragon card. It's a versatile card that I use in various situations but most especially in Earthquake ruleset. It has three magic damage and has decent defense and Flying ability to play as tank or secondary tank.
I chose this card as my Gladiator in this battle due to her high ranged damage at five. I mostly picked ranged damage dealers because of the Briar Patch ruleset and she is the highest ranged damage dealer.
The Chaos Battle Mage is a legendary card that deals three ranged damage and has Piercing and Rebirth abilities. I frequently use this card in the backline but can also play in the front if the ruleset allows it. It has decent defense and the Rebirth ability to play as tank.
Aranduriel deals three ranged damage and has the Painforge ability. I frequently use her with the Earth archon to grant her the Execute ability. I also use her with cards with Reckless ability to take advantage of her Painforge.
Another legendary Dragon card that I use in battles. It deals four ranged damage, has one armor and nine health. Being a Drakoshan, she benefits from Kavor Skarn's Bloodline Dominion buff of additional speed. She also has Taunt and Dodge abilities. She is a card where her stats and abilities synergize to make her role more effective.
My opponent's line up is also strong with three legendary cards and anchored on his beefy tank. I have the advantage of having higher damage potential as my units have three attacks and more.
My opponent granted the Deflect ability to his two melee units. This was to make them immune from Thorns damage. At the start of the battle, the opponent's Taunt unit was immediately destroyed while my Syrenth survived. My higher damage dealers were clearly doing their jobs as my opponent's units fell one by one. By round 4, I still had my complete line up while the opponent had already lost three units. Soon his Mantaroth was eliminated and I won the battle easily.
