CROWNREND: My gaming activity + My financial results after 36 days
When I started playing on Splinterlands (more than 5 years ago) my passion for blockchain-based games was born.
I have a natural preference for Hive-based games because I consider Hive an ideal player-side environment for web3 games because Hive is scalable, fast, and has transactions that cost 0 in terms of tokens.
Unfortunately, Hive is still not a very attractive devs-side environment because it doesn't have layer 1 smartcontracts and building a game on Hive is definitely more complex because of this lack which I hope in the future can be remedied.
Today I play several Hive-based games and even though my free time is not much I try to play regularly and I also try to post content about the games I play because this is another activity I really enjoy doing on Hive.
The latest game I have added to my list of games in which I am an active player is Crownrend.
Crownrend is a Hive based browser incremental, semi-idle, online strategy game.
I started playing on Crowrend one day after its release.
In fact Crownrend was released on January 8, 2025 and I started playing on January 9, 2025.

22 days have passed since my last post about Crownrend and today I return to share my game progress and also the financial evaluation of my investment on Crownrend which has been very positive so far.
My game activity and progress
For the past 22 days I have played almost every day on Crownrend but have not been very regular with the DENAR claims produced by my kingdom.
Given my limited free time I have not been able to make claims every 4 hours and have often made only two claims a day.
Because of this, my progress in upgrading my statistics has been less than the progress I could potentially have achieved.
In the next image you can see the game stats I had 22 days ago.

Compared to 22 days ago, I have improved 4 of my 9 statistics:
- Army Strength: 9
- Army Tactics: 4
- Army Morale: 3
- Army Toughness: 5 -> 7
- Army Speed: 4 -> 6
- Army Leadership: 3 -> 4
- Tax Efficiency: 4
- Mine Level: 1
- Vault Level: 1 -> 2
In idle games I like to focus more on attack stats than defense stats because:
- attacking other players (and also suffering attacks) is one of the aspects I consider most fun in idle/incremental games
- my work schedule does not allow me to be consistent in making the claim every 4 hours, so attacks are the main source of my DENAR gains.
Compared to 22 days ago, today in the Marketplace there are many items that it is possible to buy.
I have not yet purchased items and will only consider doing so when the upgrade of a statistic will cost more than the cost of the increase in the same statistic obtainable through the purchase of an items.
In idle games my game strategy is always heavily influenced by the value of the game tokens.
I have not yet purchased chests from the Inventory section because the DENAR token may lose value in the near future, and in my opinion it will until it will have new use cases.
I will start buying Chest when the value of the DENAR token will be relatively stable for medium to long periods of time.
Until then my strategy will be mainly this:
- I will upgrade 1 stat every 3 days to cancel the effect of unrest.
- I will sell surplus DENAR tokens to accumulate SWAP.HIVE that I can use to make progress in the game only when the DENAR token has an average stable value.
The financial valuation of my gaming activity after 36 days.
Those who read my posts regularly and for example have read my posts on Terracore and Golem Overlord know well the strategy I apply in idle/incremental games:
- I invest
- I reach the break-even point as quickly as possible
- I play and have fun
My strategy is mainly based on my past experience in idle games in which I have observed an often recurring dynamic on the trend of the value of the game tokens.
The tokens of idle games tend to lose value over time to regain value in only two cases:
- influx of new players
- introduction of new use cases.
This is exactly what happened for Terracore and Golem Overlord and is what has happened to date for Crownrend as well.
In fact, on January 9, 2025 1 DENAR was worth 1.51 SWAP.HIVE.
On the day January 11, 2025 1 DENAR was worth 0.60 SWAP.HIVE
On January 23, 2025 1 DENAR was worth 0.31 SWAP.HIVE
Today, February 14, 2025 1 DENAR is worth = 0.117 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value)
On Crownrend I reached the break-even point after only 2 days of play.
From that moment Crownrend became a free to play game for me, and from that moment it also became a great investment from the financial point of view for me.
To start playing on Crownrend I invested 18.92 SWAP.HIVE.
To date I have sold 218.80 DENAR and gained 60.43 SWAP.HIVE
I enjoyed playing on Crownrend and at the same time I achieved two very good financial results:
- Profit = +41.52 SWAP.HIVE
- ROI = 219.50%
Starting today, I will also start monitoring the market value of the token ORI (Orichalcum), Crownrend's second token, which is obtainable by burning items and is also the token needed to create an alliance.

Oggi gioco a diversi Hive-based games e anche se il mio tempo libero non è molto cerco di giocare con regolarità e cerco anche di pubblicare contenuti sui giochi a cui gioco perchè questa è un'altra attività che mi piace molto fare su Hive.
L'ultimo gioco che ho aggiunto alla mia lista di giochi in cui sono un giocatore attivo è Crownrend.

Sono passati 22 giorni dal mio ultimo post su Crownrend e oggi ritorno a condividere i miei progressi di gioco e anche la valutazione finanziaria del mio investimento su Crownrend che fino ad oggi è stata molto positiva.
La mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi
Negli ultimi 22 giorni ho giocato quasi ogni giorno su Crownrend ma non sono stato molto regolare con i claims dei DENAR prodotti dal mio regno.
Dato il mio poco tempo libero non sono riuscito a fare i claim ogni 4 ore e spesso ho fatto solo due claims al giorno.
Per questo motivo i miei progressi nell'upgrade delle mie statistiche sono stati inferiori ai progressi che potenzialmente avrei potuto raggiungere.

Rispetto a 22 giorni fa ho migliorato 4 delle mie 9 statistiche:
- Army Strength: 9

Negli idle games mi piace focalizzarmi più sulle statistiche di attacco che sulle statistiche di difesa perchè:
- attaccare gli altri giocatori (e anche subire gli attacchi) è uno degli aspetti che considero più divertenti negli idle/incremental games
- i miei impegni lavorativi non mi permettono di essere costante nel fare il claim ogni 4 ore e quindi gli attacchi sono la fonte principale dei miei guadagni in DENAR.
Rispetto a 22 giorni fa, oggi nel Marketplace ci sono molti items che è possibile acquistare.
Non ho ancora acquistato items e valuterò di farlo solo quando l'upgrade di una statistica avrà un costo maggiore rispetto al costo dell'incremento della stessa statistica ottenibile tramite l'acquisto di un items.
Negli idle games la mia strategia di gioco è sempre fortemente influenzata dal valore dei token del gioco.
Non ho ancora acquistato chests dalla sezione Inventory perchè il token DENAR potrebbe perdere valore nel prossimo futuro e secondo me lo farà fino a quando non avrà nuovi casi d'uso.
Inizierò ad acquistare Chest quando il valore del token DENAR sarà relativamente stabile per periodi di tempo mediamente lunghi.
Fino ad allora la mia strategia sarà principalmente questa:
- farò un upgrade di 1 statistica ogni 3 giorni per annullare l'effetto dell'unrest.
- venderò i token DENAR in surplus per accumulare SWAP.HIVE che potrò utilizzare per fare progressi nel gioco solo quando il token DENAR avrà un valore mediamente stabile.
La valutazione finanziaria della mia attività di gioco dopo 36 giorni
Chi legge regolarmente i miei post e ad esempio ha letto i miei post su Terracore e Golem Overlord conosce bene la strategia che seguo negli idle/incremental games:
- investo
- raggiungo il punto di pareggio nel più breve tempo possibile
- gioco e mi diverto
La mia strategia si basa principalmente sulla mia esperienza passata negli idle games nei quali ho constatato una dinamica spesso ricorrente sull'andamento del valore dei token del gioco.
I token degli idle games tendono a perdere valore con il passare del tempo per riprendere valore solo in due casi:
- afflusso di nuovi giocatori
- introduzione di nuovi casi d'uso in-game
E' esattamente quello che è avvenuto per Terracore e per Golem Overlord ed è quello che è avvenuto fino ad oggi anche per Crownrend.
Infatti il giorno 9 gennaio 2025 1 DENAR valeva 1.51 SWAP.HIVE
Il giorno 11 gennaio 2025 1 DENAR valeva 0.60 SWAP.HIVE
Il giorno 23 gennaio 2025 1 DENAR valeva 0.31 SWAP.HIVE
Oggi 14 febbraio 2025 1 DENAR ha un valore = 0.117 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value)
Su Crownrend ho raggiunto il punto di pareggio dopo soli 2 giorni di gioco.
Da quel momento Crownrend è diventato per me un free to play game e da quel momento è diventato anche un ottimo investimento dal punto di finanziario per me.
Per iniziare a giocare su Crownrend ho investito 18.92 SWAP.HIVE
Fino ad oggi ho venduto 218.80 DENAR e ho guadagnato 60.43 SWAP.HIVE
Mi sono divertito a giocare su Crownrend e allo stesso tempo ho ottenuto due ottimi risultati finanziari:

Da oggi inizierò a monitorare anche il valore di mercato del token ORI (Orichalcum), il secondo token di Crownrend, che è ottenibile bruciando gli items ed è anche il token necessario per creare un alleanza.

Forse dovrei tornare a vendere un po' di DENAR anch'io in effetti: sarà una settimana o due che mi sto solo concentrando sull'acquisto di potenziamenti, ma un po' di HIVE in più non fa mai male 🤣
Gli items sono ancora parecchio costosi, ma anche quelli sono destinati a calare di prezzo, dato che con il tempo sempre più giocatori riusciranno ad acquistare chests con regolarità. Per ora perciò anch'io sto evitando di acquistarli.

Sarebbe bello però che le statistiche del regno fossero registrate sulla blockchain, così come sta è un gioco ibrido, con il solo scambio di DENAR onchain.
D'accordo con te perchè memorizzare le statistiche del regno su Hive sarebbe un ottima cosa da più punti di vista.

I like your strategy, though I wanted to try my luck and invest in 3 chests, but unfortunately, it sucks!
I am also following the same strategy after the loss, and planning to invest after getting back my funds first. Converting into Hive is the best strategy right now for me. Thanks for sharing the info.

with the decline amount of worth the denar tokens are the only way to maintain profit is to get more denars per claim or ensure the supply is lower thorough burning, this will always be a problem with these kinds of game, im just glad like you i was able to get to the break even point quickly
