For the past four weeks, I have been up for 14 hours a day trying to work harder to pay the bills, and it is been difficult to take a break or a breather, watch a movie, go to the hospital, or simply go somewhere different to reflect on this life, the futility of all the struggles, and wondering where it all ends.
While many people want to escape their thought processes, I prefer to dwell on mine. I am not one of those people who wants to stop thinking about life's problems, illness, and other issues; why? It is my reality, and no matter how hard I try to deny it, it will not go away; this is not a show; real life is difficult and hits you harder in the face.
If you have money problems, you do not magically wish them away by doing yoga or wishing they did not exist, and BOOM! they vanish. These things have consequences, and we do not always realize it.
Living in reality can be difficult, especially if you are a breadwinner, provider, or someone who has a lot of expectations placed on their shoulders.
When I was younger, I ignored my medical conditions, believing that they did not exist. Guess what happened? Even after 15 years, it had not gone away. Maybe if I had accepted it back then, I could have dealt with the complications that could have arisen and found ways to avoid them.
For example, there is no shame in admitting that you are poor or ill; this is reality. Understanding this is why you will find solutions "Do I go to God in prayer?" Do I pursue modern medicine, get a job, or start a side business?".
Stress test it!
I understand that some problems will never be solved, but recognizing that you have a problem and acknowledging that you need to address it is a step in the right direction.
Bills do not take breaks, and life does not care if you are fighting from an unfair advantage; in fact, those who are disadvantaged in life face the most challenges.
The universe recognizes, but humanity has created its own problems, which is why we have discrimination, segregation, racism, violence, injustice, unfairness, and so many other issues.
When you are disadvantaged in life, understand where you are coming from; if you need to cry, do so; if you need to give up, do so for a short period of time; people usually do better when they take time off, not to remain in disbelief or denial, but to recover stronger.
I frequently tell people that a few years ago, I experienced the most wasteful and reckless period of my life. I could have taken the time to address the issues in my life, but instead I ran away from them, not thinking critically about how to change my life, how I could have done it, or why I needed to do it.
However, I strongly believe that good times produce weak and carefree people, whereas bad times produce stronger and more determined people.
My life was good and fair a few years ago, but I did not address the problems that might arise in the future, and now I am facing them all. Life generally punishes ignorance.
We do not get to say, "Oh, I did not know." Life requires you to know. Even though you are blindfolded while playing "life's game," it expects you to see. It reminds me of a Korean action film I saw. These guys were basically thrown into a "game mode" reality, and thousands of people died, leaving only two or three survivors.
Even the wisest and most cautious people lost the game and their lives. It demonstrates that we are in a race, except that sometimes we take breaks to eat ice cream, go on dates, or go swimming, and sometimes we forget about life for a moment, and sometimes people are "living their lives" to the fullest when they meet an unexpected end.
They did not prepare, did not know, and did not check. When your life is coming to an end, you realize it is a ticking time bomb. Do not wait until you are five minutes from the end to start addressing issues. This is why people with terminal illnesses typically leave life feeling fulfilled and accomplished. They had time to prepare, they know their outlook on life, they have built and lived the life they want, and even if it is cut short, they will most likely leave with no stone unturned.

We often say "All is well" when in reality, all isn't well. We only say it while hoping that things will improve, lines will fall into places and all ends will meet. Unfortunately, these are just the more you look, the less you see. That is life, and anyone who refuses to recognize it now might do so later, maybe when it's already late. This also applies to someone who refuses to acknowledge that they have a problem and would go about claiming all is well, without looking for a solution, the problem would still be staring them in the face, until when they're ready to tackle it.
Life is tough and will be tougher as one grows due to increasing responsibilities. No one would tell you this, only life will.
What to do, be ready to fight it out if you want to live. Feigning ignorance about this would only end in regrets.

Well sometimes people don't want to acknowledge it, because it can be difficult and the stress of dealing with problems can be really overwhelming, so most times we choose to live in the denial. I have done that many times in my life and it came with massive repercussions
For me, I don't think I want to run away, although the stress of tackling problems and the money you need to do it can be daunting, but that's thet troubles of life, it can be harder for some people
Living in self denial isn't gonna help, rather tackling the problem one step at a time is the way to go.
Have a pleasant week ahead.

If you are ignorant, life will deal with you harshly. It's one thing to know your problem exist and another to take measures to solving it. Ignoring our problems won't make them leave, we have to take actions and stop living in the illusion that if we don't do anything, they won't affect us. Even the Bible says that people perish because of lack of knowledge.
Yeah, the Bible acknowledges that as well, and no one can make excuses for not "knowing" it's just rubbish. Life can punish anyone simply because they didn't know, it's unfair, but its one of the unwritten rules of the universe
Life really doesn’t slow down, especially when you’re the one everyone depends on. I get the part about being up 14 hours a day, It’s exhausting, and yet the bills keep coming like they don’t care.
What you said about facing reality instead of running from it really stuck with me. I have also made the mistake of ignoring things, hoping they’d fix themselves, but life doesn’t work that way. It’s harsh, and like you said, it punishes ignorance.
I admire how you’re not sugarcoating anything. There’s strength in being this honest about your struggles. And I agree, sometimes you just need to sit with the pain, understand it, and then decide your next move.
As a provider it's hard, and no one should have to constantly work hard, and yet what they make is still not enough to take care of things.
Ahhh things never fixes themselves, never, unless maybe God intervenes, and somehow in most situations when he doesn't, he's given us the capability to be able to think ahead and to resolve The problems by ourselves..
Sugarcoating things does not take anyone anywhere. Although it can be very hard, but that is life's reality. There's no way I can be goat and call myself a dragon, Inside I begin to adjust to the life of being a goat or living in the dream that I am a dragon.
Hmm, well said! We should just try our best and adjust accordingly.
This is so true! Sometimes we choose not to accept a particular problem and keep overlooking it for any reason atall...but then, it doesn't mean that the problem will go away because we choose not to accept it..it will still be there, possibly birthing other problems and discomfort.
For instance , it's been over one week plus I noticed a health challenge in my body system, so uncomfortable but I choose to ignore it. Every effort my husband and friends has made to ensure I see a doctor yield no result until this afternoon, I told myself the truth,by accepting the reality and plan to see a doctor tommorw morning.
Life indeed punishes ignorant. We must be on the know, and face the reality . And the earlier , the better

One of one bosses I worked for, I heard he told his wife that he wasn't feeling okay, and he went to the hospital and that was the day he died. Life is about management, if you manage your symptoms and take care of yourself, manage your issues well and even prevent them before they happen, then a person stands a chance.
While we're not God, it's important to be proactive, if I was proactive about myself in my younger years, maybe I'd have done better, but I'm grateful to God nonetheless
Hmmm, you are right ...a better management of our health prevent certain illness or reduce it's effect.
We must help ourselves !
This is it, really. Trying to feign ignorance with the unchanging aspects of life almost always backfires back at us, sometimes a ten fold. I do appreciate taking a break every now and then, as in going on a side quest in a video game. But my mind is always on the main quests, thinking out ways to solve my problems in the here and now. I love the idea of viewing the mind as a problem solving tool and stress testing it to make the mind stronger or more resilient. It's very accurate from personal experience :)
I've stressed tested myself in many difficult situations. The only problem I face 90% of the time is that my body is not as strong enough to carry out the solutions. However, I see myself as a fighter even I lose a lot of battles, I still try to fight the ones I can instead of running away from them. From my point of view, unless you've given on life, then that's the only way you should be running away.
That's the thing which is hard to reconcile or make peace with, the mind would want to keep going but the body will refuse, especially when it has reached its limit. I think past a certain level, the mind can't keep tricking the body to do what it wants no matter how much we'd like to believe otherwise. The never give up mantra suits well here :)
Life's problems don't just vanish, especially money issues. Money is one of those evils that man has created to solve another problem, did it make things better? Not really... But on occasion taking a break from focusing on the problems is necessary, but in the end you have to find a solution.
I agree that easy times make people lazy, and when the hard time come they struggle immensely. When your health is good you take it for granted, until it's not and the struggle begins.
As I've said over and over, life isn't fair, never has been, never will be. All we can do is make the best of our situation, plan and prepare, and hope for the best. Just keep in mind that no one gets out alive, and some problems don't away. Great post!
Money issues is one of the only ones that stays forever until you get the money to fix it. When you can't fix it then you're done for. People created money, but the bigger issue is government printing money excessively, spending it and dumping all that debt back into the system and leave the people to pay for it.
Thank you, I've always understood the unfairness of life, and over 21 months now, it has dawned on me in the hardest of ways. As you've said, we all don't get out alive.
Thanks, I guess my rantings and frustrations comes out well some days.
I fine myself pushing things off until the deadline gets closer. I should change that, and I agree that its best to resolve things earlier if you can. Money is such a pressing issue for everyone. I am pretty sure most people have had that feeling and it can be rough when you need to pay those bills.
It can be rough to pay bills lol, especially when you're hustling and the money is not enough to secure all the expenses. I pushed things and procrastinated as well in the past, but it has cost me a lot in life.
Ah, it is not good to dwell on life problems but the reality to my experience is not to dwell on it too much, but knowing yourself will helps you grow cos that's your own life, you can not just commot eyes as if everything is fine.
You must always admit who you are, you don't need to fake your lifestyle cos it won't end you somewhere good or better.
This life is full of consistent difficult and challenges " it's when you face one thing another will pop up"
The conclusion is be yourself, understand who you are and the best of you to deal with life difficulties and challenges.
Am just always amaze by your write up, and I can't but must comment to it.
I must say thank you, cos I have really learn from your write ups. I wish to still learn more from you.
Well, I dwell on mine, more than I should. It's probably because mine needs immediately and daily attention, but yes, we're laden with different problems and some people can afford to walk away from theirs just to catch their breath, and some other people, well not so lucky.
As you've said, acceptance is importance, no amount of denial can change anything, we're what we are, and that's it, there's no changing this.
You're welcome
Hmmm my bones get weak whenever I get across your content but you state facts not fictions.
There are some life challenges that are chronic same way there are chronic illnesses but not accepting reality is just keeping oneself a few steps to the grave, but facing reality makes it possible to acquire needed strength and wisdom to manage the situation.
Unfortunately some have decided to deceive themselves and they get hurt at the long run some even lose their lives.
Yes, some people go ahead to lose their lives even though they saw signs that a lot of things were wrong and they didn't go ahead to fix it. As for chronic conditions, well you can do everything and still be unlucky, but it's important to try, no matter what, just keep trying
I agree with that statement Just keep trying one day all this will be over.
i agree with you, they used to tell me "don't think at the problem, go out, have a walk", but it's not like your body will self fix or your pains and difficulties fades away if you walk out, and there was no way to make them understand
that's true too, our grandparents were stronger, had more sacrifice spirit, helped each other
Walking or working out don't fix anything lol except maybe you want to keep fit, although I agree that taking a break from everything can clear your mind, but it only does for you to come back stronger and go back to fixing those problems you once walked away from.
I once told my friend that no one in a good state of mind stands in front of a mirror and says, “I’m not sick, I’m fine and happy.” 😂
I couldn’t solve her problems, but over time, she began to see them as a normal part of life. She then stopped posting things like “Don’t worry about me, I’m fine” on her WhatsApp status.
Living in denial can sometimes lead to depression, not because the problems go away, but because they quietly pile up beneath the surface.

Well it's good that confess positive words of affirmation from the Bible, afterall the Bible says "let the weak say I'm strong" but we also have to be proactive, take measures and do what we can.
This really makes a lot of sense my bro. Life can be hard sometimes, and acting like everything is okay doesn’t change anything. Sometimes, facing the real truth is the first step to getting better in this life.
Nothing changes the problems of life, unless we decide to tackle them ourselves lol.
Well, that's true. And life issues can't be solved all by oneself always.
