Ever sit there and watch roulette videos like it’s a Netflix series? Yeah, that was me. As long as games such as standard American roulette games have existed I’ve been curious of it yet only able to see them through a screen. Never tried one in real-time. Not until now.
So when I read about StakehouseDen on ArcadeColony and found out that they had actual roulette roll gameplay STAKED on Hive, I had to take a look. But there’s a catch, before you can start jumping in and spinning, you have to use $hotsauce (the game’s currency). And to earn $hotsauce, you have to stake cards. Cards that originate from…that’s right, the enigmatic Ladyluck Pack.
Naturally, I bought one. Just one. Because hey, first time. Well, let’s try our luck.
🔥 How It Works (In My Words)
O.K., here’s the skinny in English:
You purchase a Ladyluck Pack from Hive Engine. Inside are 5 cards. Stake that card and earn daily $hotsauce. And then that $hotsauce allows you to play games like roulette. Simple enough, right?
But wait, there’s a hack. Before you open your pack, if you use a type of currency called Gold Flux and Legendary Flux, you increase your chances of finding rare cards. More rarity = more $hotsauce. That caught my attention fast.
I took 5 of both Flux type, cost a little in script (1 for gold, 0.4 for leg), but I figured I'd go all in.
🎁 Opening my First Packs - The Big Reveal
Now the real excitement begins. I went to the StakehouseDen website, and I clicked on the pack, pulse racing. Five cards gazed into my eyes, begging to be flipped over.
Flip #1:
King of Hearts. Blue mark. That’s a rare! Off to a solid start.
Flip #2:
Five of Diamonds. Green mark, a common one. Meh, expected.
Flip #3:
Jack of Spades. Another rare! Okay, okay. Lady Luck’s smiling.
Flip #4:
Four of Diamonds. Common. Not surprised.
Final Flip:
Ten of Clubs. Common again.
Nothing Lil legend, but I got 2 rare and 3 common. Not bad for my first try. No gold foil, either, but the experience? Worth it.
🍗 What’s Next?
I bet all five cards immediately after the deal. Now I make 7 $hotsauce a day. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s enough for me to dip my toes into a number of the games. I’m mostly looking to try roulette at first because that’s what drew me in to begin with.
Perhaps I’ll give another pack a chance soon, with better odds, probably. I mean who knows, maybe I’ll pick up a legendary or something in a shiny gold foil if I get lucky.
But for now, it’s just nice to be invited to the fun. It was so fun to rip into that first pack, and now I have something cooking in the background making some money while I plan my next play.
Curious?
You can see for yourself on their ArcadeColony site or browse their whitepaper if you’re the sort of person who actually reads the manual.
Until the next pack, wish me luck.
