Beauty In Ashes

Most of our results are never what we wanted. But pause and take a closer look, you'll realize they were what we needed to grow and be who we needed to be. I didn't go to my dream school, I didn't study my dream course, I didn't attend my favorite high school, but then I had one of the best experiences going through those paths I never dreamt of. The journey was rough, I had many "If" , but then, every height I have attained, the friends I made along the path, the pain, joy, and bitterness, are part of every blessing I count today.

For years I got caught up in a spiral of web trying to blame every system for the part I felt were dormant. I'll sit the entire time saying stuff like "if only I had this... Or If only this happened, or if this didn't happen", etc I forgot to check the blessings that added up on the same rough path I felt wasn't an answered prayer. To me they were failures, not knowing everything that ever happened was a blessing in disguise. We never felt it, we did not sense it, we didn't embrace the impact they had added to the man or woman in the mirror.

Someone once said "Every disappointment is a blessing". I would have not taken it seriously if he had said "Some, or a few" But then he said "Every". Which means, whatever we consider a disappointment is a blessing, we may not see it as one if we don't take a pause and appreciate how everything has shaped us to be who we are. Yes it hurts, but in that pain, pause and you'll see the beauty in ashes. Every of our prayers are answered if only we can take a pause and see beyond the ashes.
