Looking to Buy Some Centauri Packs Through Hive-Engine
The first step was to start buying some COLONY tokens.
The second is to try and get my hands on some Centauri packs, which contain pilots, karts, and upgrades to start playing Moonkarts.
My passion lies in FPS and RTS games, but I used to play some racing games as well. So, unlike Splinterlands— which belongs to a genre that never really appealed to me—Moonkarts is a game that, at its core, I could more easily enjoy.
That said, I admit right away that before I start playing, I'd like to see some improvements come in, because while the concept behind the game is solid, there's definitely room to enhance the graphics—especially the environments—and refine the driving model, which, from the gameplay I've seen, seems a bit jerky at times.
However, it's still too early to talk about these aspects, because without a pilot and a vehicle, I won't be going anywhere...
...which is why today I decided to place some buy orders through Hive-Engine for a few Centauri packs.

To place my buy order, I used an order book.

This way, I was able to set the price I was willing to pay for each pack, leaving it open for potential sellers to accept it or not.
At the time of writing this post, my offer is the best one, but I’m quite sure that in no time someone will outbid me by a few thousandths of an HIVE... after all, that's exactly what I did 😅
If my offer gets accepted, the plan would be to try reselling the packs at a higher price—the best selling offer is actually quite higher—and save the difference to either buy Centauri packs to keep, or purchase directly from the market a pilot, a kart, and some assets to stake to generateg Fuel.
Fuel is necessary to race, so I’ll need that too, along with some SCRIPT tokens, which are also required when staking cards.
In short, there’s a lot to do, and I’m just getting started.
However, Moonkarts has potential, if only because it’s a game with nice graphics that belongs to a genre with a lot of fans—the arcade racing genre.
Compared to almost all other games on Hive, which will likely never attract a large player base since they belong to very niche genres, Moonkarts might have a shot at something bigger.
And if I play my cards right, maybe I’ll be able to have a stash of assets ready to go.

Alla Ricerca di Qualche Pacchetto Centauri da Acquistare Tramite Hive-Engine
Il primo passo è stato cominciare ad acquistare un po' di token COLONY.
Il secondo è quello di cercare di procurarmi qualche pacchetto Cenatauri, al cui interno è possibile trovare piloti, kart e potenziamenti per iniziare a giocare a Moonkarts.
La mia passione sono gli FPS e gli RTS, ma in passato giocavo anche a qualche racing, per cui, a differenza di Splinterlands che appartiene ad un genere che non è mai rientrato nei miei gusti, con Moonkarts avrei la possibilità di giocare ad un titolo che, di base, posso più facilmente apprezzare.
Ammetto però sin da ora che, prima di iniziare a giocare, vorrei veder arrivare altri miglioramenti, perchè l'idea alla base del gioco è buona, ma sicuramente c'è spazio per arricchire la grafica - soprattutto degli ambienti - e migliorare il modello di guida, che, almeno dai gameplay che ho visto, sembra un po' scattoso a tratti.
Tuttavia parlare di questi aspetti è ancora precoce, perchè senza pilota e veicolo di certo non vado lontano...
... per questo oggi ho deciso di effettuare alcune offerte di acquisto tramite Hive-Engine per l'acquisto di un po' di pacchetti Centauri.

Ho così potuto scegliere il prezzo che sono disposto a pagare per ogni pacchetto, lasciando aperta la possibilità ad eventuali venditore di accettare la mia offerta o meno.
Nel momento in cui scrivo questo post la mia offerta è la migliore, ma sono abbastanza sicuro che nel giro di poco tempo qualcuno la sorpasserà di qualche millesimo di HIVE... d'altra parte è quello che ho fatto io stesso 😅
Se la mia offerta venisse accetta, l'idea sarebbe quella di provare a rivendere i pacchetti ad un prezzo più alto - la miglior offerta di vendita è infatti parecchio più alta - e mettere da parte la differenza per acquistare pacchetti Centauri da tenere oppure per comprare direttamente dal market un pilota, un kart e qualche asset da mettere in staking per generare Fuel.
Il Fuel è infatti necessario per poter gareggiare, per cui avrò bisogno anche di questo, oltre a qualche token SCRIPT, che è a sua volta richiesto quando si mettono delle carte in staking.
Insomma, ci sono parecchie cose da fare ed io per ora sono solo all'inizio.
Tuttavia Moonkarts ha del potenziale, non fosse altro per il fatto che è un gioco con una grafica carina e che appartiene un genere ricco di appassionati, ossia quello dei racing arcade.
Rispetto a quasi tutti gli altri giochi presenti su Hive, che difficilmente potranno mai avere molti appassionati, dato che appartengono a generi molto di nicchia, Moonkarts potrebbe perciò ambire a qualcosa di più.
E se giocherò bene le mie carte magari sarò in grado di essere pronto con un po' di assets pronti da parte.
