Getting Ready for a New Year on Splinterlands
Thus comes to an end the first year on Splinterlands in which I have fully focused on managing my investment in the game — not playing, but instead trying to maximize my income through renting and buying/selling my assets.
Not having played a single match saved me a lot of time, which I was able to dedicate to other activities, such as publishing posts on Hive and developing my arbitrage-related scripts.
Having a bit more free time, however, also helped me keep better track of the performance of my Splinterlands investment, allowing me to better understand what was working and what was not.
Renting out my cards, for example, turned out to be the strongest point of my collection, thanks to cards that over these months I managed to rent out with excellent frequency, generating a very high APR that I was able to reinvest, in the form of DEC, into other activities.
Unfortunately, the terrible performance of the HIVE price undermined the success of my strategy, since converting DEC into HIVE has so far proven to be a very poor move — even if the final word has not yet been said.
That said, the value of my cards and tokens has remained fairly stable throughout the year, at least when comparing their value today to that of a year ago.
Let’s take a look at how things went over the past month.
Cards
Using Peakmonsters, the value of my cards is currently around 110 dollars.
Last month, the value of my collection was instead around 127 dollars.
A negative difference of 17 dollars, but as long as the value of my cards stays above 100 dollars, I’m not complaining.
Tokens
On the token side, the situation is once again stable.
Currently, the value of my tokens amounts to 70.85 dollars.
Last month, their value was instead 68.14 dollars.
After a slight decline, my tokens are now edging back up in value: just a couple of dollars, but better than nothing.
There is also my HIVE reserve, which amounts to 134 HIVE obtained by converting 30,000 DEC:
And also my position in the DEC-GRAIN pool, which keeps growing stronger:
My investment has reached around 10,000 DEC, half of which has been converted into GRAIN.
For now, this represents the best use of the DEC I earn from rentals.
We’re almost in 2026
This report concludes my 2025 on Splinterlands, which had begun with this other report published on January 10, 2025.
If the price of HIVE had not collapsed so dramatically, I am convinced this would have been an excellent year for my growth on Splinterlands… but unfortunately things went differently, and I’m glad I managed to limit the damage.
For the coming year, the goal will be to try to do better, learning from the mistakes I made and attempting to take a few steps forward.
Splinterlands is the last Play2Earn game in which I still have an investment, and I would really like to see it continue to grow — also as confirmation of the strength of a title that over the years has managed to reinvent itself and improve enormously.

Pronto per un Nuovo Anno su Splinterlands
Giunge così al termine il primo anno su Splinterlands in cui mi sono completamente concentrato sul curare il mio investimento sul gioco, non giocando ma cercando di massimizzare le mie entrate tramite il noleggio e l'acquisto/vendita dei miei assets.
Non aver giocato nemmeno una partita mi ha fatto risparmiare un sacco di tempo che ho potuto utilizzare per altre attività, come la pubblicazione di post su Hive e la creazione dei miei scripts legati all'arbitraggio.
Avere un po' più di tempo ha disposizione mi ha però anche aiutato a tenere meglio traccia dell'andamento del mio investimento su Splinterlands, rendendomi meglio conto di cosa stava funzionando e cosa no.
Il noleggio delle mie carte è, ad esempio, risultato essere il maggior punto di forza della collazione, grazie a carte che, nel corso di questi mesi, sono riuscito a noleggiare con un'ottima frequenza, generando un APR davvero alto che ho potuto reinvestire, sotto forma di DEC, in altre attività.
Purtroppo il terribile andamento del prezzo di HIVE ha minato il successo della mia strategia, dato che la conversione di DEC in HIVE si è rivelata, ad oggi, una pessima mossa - anche se non è ancora detta l'ultima parola.
In compenso, però, il valore delle mie carte e dei miei token è rimasto abbastanza stabile durante l'anno, quantomeno se confronto il loro valore oggi rispetto a quello di un anno fa.
Vediamo però intanto come è andata durante quest'ultimo mese.
Carte
Utilizzando Peakmonsters il valore delle mie carte risulta attualmente pari a circa 110 dollari.
Il mese scorso il valore della mia collezione era invece pari a circa 127 dollari.
Una differenza in negativo di 17 dollari, ma finchè il valore delle mie carte resta sopra i 100 dollari non mi lamento.
Tokens
Lato tokens la situazione rimane nuovamente stabile.
Attualmente il valore dei miei tokens ammonta infatti a 70.85 dollari.
Il mese scorso il loro valore era invece pari a 68.14 dollari.
Dopo una leggera diminuzione, i miei token tornano leggermente a salire di valore: giusto un paio di dollari, ma meglio di niente.
C'è poi sempre la mia riserva di HIVE, che ammonta a 134 ottenuti convertendo 30.000 DEC:
Ed anche la mia partecipazione nella pool DEC-GRAIN che è sempre più consistente:
Il mio investimento ha raggiunto circa 10.000 DEC, di cui la metà convertiti in GRAIN.
Per ora si tratta del mio miglior utilizzo del DEC che ottengo dal noleggio.
Siamo quasi nel 2026
Questo report conclude il mio 2025 su Splinterlands, che era iniziato con quest'altro report pubblicato il 10 gennaio 2025.
Se il valore di HIVE non fosse crollato così tanto sono convinto che questo sarebbe stato un ottimo anno per la mia crescita su Splinterlands... ma purtroppo le cose sono andate diversamente e sono contento di essere riuscito a contenere i danni.
Per il prossimo anno l'obiettivo sarà cercare di fare meglio, imparando dagli errori che ho commesso e provando a fare qualche passo in avanti.
Splinterlands è l'ultimo gioco Play2Earn in cui ho un investimento e mi piacerebbe vederlo crescere sempre più, anche a conferma della bontà di un titolo che in questi anni ha saputo rinnovarsi e migliorarsi enormemente.
