Bridging SPS & DEC Between Hive-Engine, Ethereum, BSC and Base: Making a Transfer
After seeing how to buy SPS and/or DEC on different chains and how to link your EVM wallet to Splinterlands, it’s now time to complete a transfer, moving a token from your In-Game wallet on Splinterlands to an EVM wallet on another chain, such as Ethereum.
The procedure is the same for all chains except Hive-Engine, since there we’ll need to use a wallet like Keychain instead of an EVM-compatible one — and it’s very simple.
The first step is to choose:
- the starting point (for example, your In-Game wallet)
- the amount you want to send (for example, DEC)
- the destination (for example, Ethereum)
To be more precise, the destination corresponds to the EVM wallet on the target chain that we linked to our Splinterlands account.
At this stage, the site informs us that the bridge operation is managed by the SPS DAO and that, besides having a minimum amount of tokens required to send, the transfer is subject to a 0.20% fee.
Once these details are filled in, we can proceed by clicking the “Transfer” button.
Approve the transfer
The next screen presents a summary of the operation, showing:
- the amount we want to transfer;
- the destination wallet;
- the fee amount;
- the total we’ll receive on the destination chain, net of the fee.
The transfer is not subject to slippage, so the amount we see is exactly what we’ll receive, which makes this tool very useful if we need to transfer a precise quantity of tokens.
Once we’ve carefully verified all the details and double-checked that the destination wallet is the correct one, we can click “Start transfer” and, in the pop-up window that appears in our wallet, approve the transaction.
Depending on the destination chain, if the transfer is to or from Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, or Base, the operation will be subject to a gas fee.
It’s worth noting that bridge operations are among the cheapest ones, so even on Ethereum you’ll generally only pay a few dozen cents.
Now all that’s left is to wait
After that, we’ll be redirected to a final screen that will keep us updated on the progress of the transaction.
Here we can once again see a summary of the operation, as well as find the transaction ID — useful for monitoring it on a block explorer and essential if we need to open a support ticket.
It can happen that a transaction fails or takes a very long time to complete, and although this is rare, in such cases we’ll need to contact support, available on the Splinterlands website through a dedicated chat.
There we can provide the transfer details we initiated, as well as the transaction ID, so the team can investigate and quickly resolve our issue.
In my experience, though, all transactions have been successful, even if sometimes I had to wait a bit longer than I expected.

Trasferire SPS & DEC fra Hive-Engine, Ethereum, BSC e Base: Effettuare un Trasferimento
Dopo aver visto come acquistare SPS e/o DEC su chains diverse e come collegare il proprio wallet EVM su Splinterlands, è arrivato adesso il momento di completare un trasferimento, spostando un token dal nostro wallet In Game su Splinterlands verso un wallet EVM su un'altra chain, ad esempio Ethereum.
La procedura è la stessa per tutte le chain, tranne Hive-Engine, dato che qui dovremo usare un wallet come Keychain, invece di uno EVM compatibile, ed è molto semplice.
Il primo passaggio consiste nel scegliere:
- il punto di partenza (ad esempio, il nostro wallet In Game)
- l'ammontare che vogliamo inviare (ad esempio, DEC)
- il punto di arrivo (ad esempio, Ethereum)
Per essere più precisi, il punto di arrivo corrisponde al wallet EVM sulla chain di destinazione che abbiamo collegato al nostro account su Splinterlands.
In questa fare il sito ci informa che l'operazione di bridge viene gestita dal SPS DAO e che, oltre ad esserci un importo minimo di token da poter inviare, il trasferimento è soggetto ad una commissione dello 0,20%.
Una volta compilati questi dati, possiamo procedere premendo il tasto "Trasnfer".
Approvare il trasferimento
La schermata successiva ci presenta un riepilogo dell'operazione, indicando:
- l'ammontare che vogliamo trasferire;
- il wallet di destinazione;
- l'importo della commissione;
- il totale che riceveremo sulla chain di arrivo, al netto della commissione.
Il trasferimento non è soggetto a slippage, per cui l'importo che vediamo è esattamente quello che riceveremo, il che rende questo strumento molto utile nel caso avessimo bisogno di trasferire una quantità precisa di token.
Una volta verificati con molta attenzione i dati ed aver controllato che il wallet di destinazione è quello giusto, possiamo premere su "Start trasnfer" e, nel pop up che si aprirà nel nostro wallet, approvare la transazione.
A seconda della chain di destinazione, se il trasferimento avviene da o verso una tra Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain e Base, l'operazione sarà soggetta al pagamento di una gas fees.
Sul punto segnalo che le operazioni di bridging sono tra quelle meno costose, per cui anche nel caso di Ethereum vi troverete a pagare - generalmente - solo qualche decina di centesimi.
Adesso non resta che attendere
Fatto questo verremo reindirizzati ad un'ultima schermata, che ci terrà aggiornati sull'andamento della transazione.
Qui possiamo vedere, nuovamente, un riepilogo dell'operazione, nonchè trovare l'ID della transazione, utile per monitorarla su un block explorer ed essenziale se avessimo bisogno di aprire un ticket.
Può infatti accadere che la transazione non vada a buon fine o impieghi davvero tanto tempo per essere conclusa e, sebbene sia un fatto raro, in queste situazioni dovremo rivolgerci al supporto, disponibile sul sito di Splinterlands tramite un'apposita chat.
Qui potremo fornire i dati del trasferimento che abbiamo avviato, nonchè l'ID della transazione, così che il team possa indagare e risolvere velocemente il nostro problema.
Nella mia esperienza, comunque, tutte le transazioni sono andate a buon fine, anche se talvolta ho dovuto aspettare un po' di quanto mi sarei aspettato.

Considerando tutte le funzionalità implementate da Splinterlands penso che debba essere preso come punto di riferimento nel panorama web3. Molto utile il tuo post come le funzionalità implementate da Splinterlands per trasferire tokens su wallet di chain diverse.
