My daughter Aya attended her friend Elia's birthday party. She saw how her brown skin color compared to others. For me her unique complexion stands out in a crowd and I couldn't love it more. Watching her connect with friends brings me happiness and warm my heart.
In a world where beauty standards tell us we have to look certain way to be worrthy and lookinglike everyone else.
To my dearest Aya, I want to say that you are so beautiful. Your brown skin, beautiful smile and eyes make you more special. And please, don't try to change just to be fit to other people. Always love yourself Aya and be proud of who you are.
