Synopsis :

Theodore Kaczynski is of Polish descent. His parents have settled in the United States. His father is a butcher. His younger brother, David, lives with their parents while Theodore attends Harvard University and shares an apartment with other students.

The story takes place around the 1950s.

Theodore is not very sociable, but he shows great promise in his studies. He takes an interest in philosophy classes taught by Professor Henry Murray.

Professor Murray organises debates among students and announces them to his class, which Theodore attends. Theodore will be the only new student to show up. He is only 16 years old.

Although he gives only a brief answer to an open-ended question, the professor accepts him into the debate group.

He will have to defend his ideas against a more advanced student, keeping his cool and earning respect.

This will not be easy.

This experience, and what he learns from it, will change him mentally.

In the 1990s, yet another bomb explodes after being delivered by mail.

The police and the FBI are on the trail of the man known as the Unabomber.

FBI agent Joanne Miller is working on the case, examining the various leads.

How will they manage to find the right lead to follow?

My opinion and a few facts /Mon avis et petites infos :

When I watched the trailer, I recognised Russell Crowe, even though he’s got older, just like everyone else.

It’s a good film.
It highlights the abuses and experiments carried out within a university such as Harvard. We’ve heard other stories about secret meetings at various universities.
It’s still unbelievable and disappointing.
