Synopsis :
Howard Gordon, his wife Emily and their daughter Sydney leave Brooklyn and move to Bridge Hollow, a small town where he has landed a job as a science teacher.
They arrive just in time for Halloween. All the houses and local businesses are decorated for the occasion. A special event is even being organised to choose the best Jack O'Lantern costume.
Howard doesn't believe in ghosts or anything supernatural, unlike his daughter. In fact, he doesn't even want any Halloween decorations in their new home.
Sydney enrols at the local high school, where she meets a few students who are fascinated by the supernatural. When they find out which house she and her family have moved into, they hint that it might be haunted.
That is all it takes to convince Sydney to investigate her new home, using an online app.
It turns out that the science and karate lessons her father insists she take might not be so useless after all!
My opinion and a few facts /Mon avis et petites infos :
It’s clearly a film aimed at young teenagers, but it was well made, original, and the special effects were well done.
