Hello film lovers, /Bonjour les cinéphiles,

I was really looking forward to watching this fourth season, which consists of eight episodes in total, but with the ten seasons of Smallville to get through, we’ve taken our time before watching all the films and series that keep appearing on Netflix and that we’re interested in.

J'avais hâte de voir cette 4e saison, composée de 8 épisodes au total, mais avec les 10 saisons de Smallville, nous avons pris un peu de temps avant de regarder tous les films et séries qui continuent d'arriver sur Netflix et qui nous intéressent.

Synospis :

The first ball of the season is hosted by the Bridgerton family at their home, and is a masked ball.

The Queen is in attendance, of course, to choose the young lady who will be her ‘diamond’ and who will therefore be the most sought-after for marriage… except that… this year, the Queen fancies a change and will choose the man to be married, namely Benedict Bridgerton!

She even makes a bet with Lady Whistledown/Penelope Bridgerton, who doesn’t believe it for a moment, knowing Benedict well, as he is far from ready to marry.

At his mother’s insistence, Benedict deigns to make an appearance at the ball and chat with the ‘beginners’ who have eyes for no one but him. His gaze then falls upon a young lady, dressed in silver, gazing in admiration at the chandelier. He does not know her, yet something is happening.

When, at midnight, the masks must come off, this young lady in silver must leave, lest she be unmasked by her mistress.

Le premier bal de la saison est organisé par la famille Bridgerton, en sa demeure, et est un bal masqué.

La reine y est présente, bien évidemment, pour choisir la jeune fille qui sera son diamant et qui sera donc la plus convoitée en vue d'épousailles .. sauf que .. cette année, la reine a envie de changement et choisira l'homme à marier, en la personne de Benedict Bridgerton !

Elle prend même le pari avec Lady Whistledown/Penelope Bridgerton, celle-ci n'y croyant pas du tout, connaissant bien Benedict, qui est loin d'être prêt à se marier.

Sous l'insistance de sa mère, Benedict daigne tout de même faire une apparition au bal et discuter avec les "débutantes" qui n'ont d'yeux que pour lui. Son regard se porte alors sur une jeune dame, vêtue d'argent, en admiration devant le lustre. Il ne la connaît pas, pourtant quelque chose se passe.

Quand, à minuit, les masques doivent tomber, cette jeune dame d'argent doit partir, sous peine d'être démasquée par sa patronne.

My opinion and a few facts /Mon avis et petites infos :

I really love this series; even though some of the plot twists are a bit predictable, it’s a real treat.

There’s romantic and steamy love, there’s humour, beautiful settings, and different atmospheres depending on which house we’re in.

J'aime beaucoup cette série, même si plusieurs choses sont "téléphonées", elle nous fait du bien.

Il y a de l'amour romantique et "chaud", il y a de l'humour, de beaux décors et des ambiances différentes selon la maison dans laquelle nous nous trouvons.

Katie Leung: Lady Araminta Gun, mother to Rosamund and Posy and Sophie’s stepmother
Michelle Mao: Rosamund Li, Araminta’s eldest daughter and one of Sophie’s half-sisters

You may have seen Yerin Ha in the series Halo, playing the role of Kwan Ha.
Katie Leung made a name for herself in Harry Potter, playing Cho Chang.

Une saison 5, qui parlera de Francesca, est en cours de tournage et ne sera pas diffusée avant fin 2027. Une saison 6 est, d'ores et déjà, prévue également, qui parlera probablement d'Héloïse.
La maison de production a décidé de modifier l'ordre des saisons par rapport aux livres de Julia Quinn et a également pris la décision d'annoncer le personnage mis en avant dans la prochaine saison, au lieu de laisser planer le mystère.
