We really like the Asterix films with Alain Chabat’s dialogue… so we decided to give this animated mini-series a go; it’s available on Netflix and consists of five short episodes.
Nous aimons bien les Astérix avec les dialogues d'Alain Chabat .. alors, nous nous sommes laissés tenter par cette mini-série dessin animé, disponible sur Netflix et composée de 5 petits épisodes.

Synopsis :
The Romans want to get rid of this little village of indomitable Gauls once and for all… or, alternatively, to make use of the Gallic tradition of chieftain duels, whereby the defeated chieftain and his tribe submit to the victorious chieftain!
But the Romans know full well that the Gauls have a magic potion. They therefore decide to neutralise the druid Getafix, at least for the duration of the battle, so that he can no longer concoct this famous potion.
A menhir falls on him during his abduction, and the Romans believe him to be dead. He is very much alive, but completely disoriented and unable to do anything.
The Romans organise the battle quickly.
The Gauls elect a new chieftain just as quickly, but have they thought of everything?
Les Romains veulent se débarrasser une fois pour toutes de ce petit village d'irréductibles Gaulois .. ou, éventuellement, utiliser la coutume gauloise du combat de chefs et le chef vaincu se soumet, avec sa tribu, au chef vainqueur !
Mais les Romains savent pertinemment que les Gaulois ont une potion magique. Ils décident donc de neutraliser le druide Panoramix, au moins pour le temps du combat, pour qu'il ne puisse plus concocter cette fameuse potion.
Un menhir lui tombe dessus, pendant son enlèvement, les Romains le croient mort. Il est bien vivant, mais complètement déboussolé et incapable de faire quoi que ce soit.
Les Romains organisent le combat rapidement.
Les Gaulois élisent un nouveau chef tout aussi rapidement, mais ont-ils pensé à tout ?

We watched all five episodes in one evening, but they’re only about 30 or 35 minutes long each.

Nous avons regardé les 5 épisodes en une soirée, mais ils ne durent que 30 ou 35 minutes chacun.
