Ria's Exciting First Week of School

Today I want to share about my daughter Ria's first day at school. She was very excited and honestly, I was excited too. I woke up early to prepare everything for my two children. I cooked breakfast, prepared their uniforms, packed their things, and made sure that nothing was forgotten.

The most exciting part for me was bringing Ria to school. As soon as we arrived, I could already see her happiness. She quickly spotted some of her friends and started talking with them. It was funny because they were chatting like grown ups already. They looked so comfortable with each other even though classes had just started.

After a while, all the students were called for the flag ceremony. The school grounds were full of children, parents, and teachers. While the students were busy lining up, me and some co-parents stayed together and had a long conversation. We talked about our children, school supplies, and how fast they are growing.

When the opening program ended, the students went back to their classrooms. That was the time we needed to leave them. I always feel a little worried whenever I leave my children at school, but seeing Ria smiling made me feel at ease. She looked ready for another school year.

Before the first week ended, the school scheduled their ID picture and class picture. Some of the students who were present during the first day were no longer there, while a few new students joined the class. That is normal during the opening weeks because some families are still fixing school requirements.

While waiting outside, I noticed one of my friends taking pictures. Then my attention was caught by the photographer assigned by the school. I could tell that he was professional and experienced. He patiently arranged the students and made sure everyone was included in the picture. It was nice watching how organized everything was.

Looking at these photos now makes me happy. Another school year has started, and another chapter is waiting for my daughter. Time really flies so fast. It feels like yesterday when she was still very small, and now she is already enjoying school with her friends. I hope she will continue to learn, make good memories, and enjoy every moment of being a student.

While reading your blog, it reminded me of my elementary and high school days. I used to get so excited whenever a new school year was about to start. Aside from seeing my friends again, I was always excited about my new school supplies. I couldn't wait to write in my brand-new notebooks and use my new pens. Haha, I was really like that back then.

I'm not sure if other people felt the same way, but for me, there was something special about starting a new school year with fresh notebooks, new pens, and a clean slate. It always gave me a sense of excitement and motivation.
