SublimedSunday: "Tree Planting Activity at Barangay Pagawan"

It's been a few days when I did not create any post in here and for today's blog and article of mine, I will share the most wonderful activities I did and this was a Tree planting activities in Barangay Pagawan, Manticao Misamis Oriental. I was invited to joined the wonderful activities and I was very excited and hurriedly accepted the invitation. The exact time of the tree planting was exactly 7 in the morning and different kinds of sectors and organizations are also willing to join. The gathering place was at Bird's nest Sanctuary in Barangay Pagawan and I arrived at the place at exactly 7:10 in the morning and lucky the activities has not yet started.

Before we proceed to the site, the coordinator was conducting a few minutes orientations to all who joined the activity. They tackled the type of trees planted in every sectors and organizations and also the place were the different kinds of trees to be planted. Hundreds of people who joined the activities and it will be finish on time and early because there are lots of joiners at the activity. After that, we proceed to the site riding on vehicles and it takes only a few minutes before we arrived at the place. The watershed is quitely far from the Provincial road that is why it needs to walk a few meters away.

The Barangay Personels also assisted those who joined the activities and guiding us to the place. They also assisted in traffic so the conjunctions can be avoided. Everybody including me was very excited because this was my first tike to joined tree planting activities. It was already 9 in the morning when we finally arrived at watershed areas.

This young trees are ready to plant at the site and it came from Cagayan de Oro City and traveled here. Almost 800 different kinds of young trees will be planted and the target must be finished planting all young trees. The small and young trees are already placed near at the stream before we arrived at the site and we only wait the Go signal to picked the trees we want to plant at the watershed.

This stream is also located at Barangyay Pagawan and each side of this stream will be planted lots of young trees. It contains lots of rocks and sands, and aside of that lots of coconut trees, and bamboo plants. This place is were we crossed so we can reach our destinations and good thing the water of the stream was not really deep.

There are also some bloggers and media personels who joined the activities and some foriegn people, before we proceed to the site, the organizers and coordinators introduced the kinds of trees we will planted soon. Aside of that, each sectors and organizations have designated areas and each group also have a guide so we can't lose our way. It takes a few minutes of introducing and after that we started to picked up our own young trees.

Each person can be abled to get two young trees, I carefully choosed the best and healthy young tree and after that I went to my group so I wont fall behind to the group. Each kinds of young tree plants are put in a wooden box so it wont get easily destroyed when it carries from one place to another.

From stream, the first place were we gathered and got our young trees, we crossed this fresh water at the stream going up in the wide and plain farm place. We carefully walked at the middle of the farm so we can avoid stepping those young corn plants and other kinds of young vegetables. There are also lots of banana plants, coconut trees and I was surprised because the designated place were we plant young trees is up at the hill. It was quite hard to went by because the road trail is very slippery.

Everyone was very happy to participated the activities and while planting the trees, we take pictures of the place because of the wonderful and overlooking views. We carefully walked in this thicked bushes and wild grass, and I carefully checked the road trail followed by our guider.

This is the tree I planted and it was successfully planted, I'm glad I can help the Nature even in a simpliest way. This young plant is what we called, Bitan-ag tree.

After our tree planting activities, we decided to washed our hands here in this old water pump. Good thing there is a water pump built at the place and we can instantly washed our hands. Everybody was having a refreshing time in this cool and fresh water. After many hours, the organizers thanked all who joined the activities and it was successfully completed.
