Doing this kind of work needs time and fucos specially when we remove the leaves. The sticks must not be cut in half and removed those leaves slowly. I spend a week doing this work and gladly gained lots of it. After removing the leaves, I carefully tied it using Neto, a kind of flexible material out of plants. Gladly we have lots of green and brown coconut leaves perfect to use as broomsticks and I gathered lots of it instantly. After that, we hurriedly went to the supermarket to sell my broomsticks, I already contacted someone so selling broomsticks wont be any hastle.
I was very happy that I gained and earned hundreds of pesos by selling my broomsticks. This will be very useful so we can be abled to buy our Daughter's need just like Diaper, Wipes and Milk. Coconut branches are also gathered so we can also sell it to the Market by next week. Being productive is very important specially now-a-days and practical is very important.
It was already 8 in the morning when we back home after selling the broomsticks and we brought sliced bread and coffee. This is what we always do every morning and the basic needs are also brought. For me, this kind of simple business is fun and really important, lucky for us we have lots of coconuts here and we can make broomsticks everyday. After that, we drink hot coffee and eat bread together with my Family and My Daughter.
My Husband's Mother also offered this home-made corn cakes and it was really delicious. My plan is to make corn-cakes and sell to our neighbors but it needs a capital to buy the engridients. 350 Pesos is perfect capital for corn-cakes and I it will be very perfect for business.
After taking our morning snacks and a hot coffee, I also fed my pet rabbit. I fed it using chicken feeds and to keep my pet rabbit safe from harmful animals like dogs and snakes, I asked my husband to build a simple bamboo cage. I fed it every morning and afternoon and aside of that, I also gave water so my pet can drink. Rabbits always drink every hour and minute so it needs to put lots of water on the cage.
My Husband was also busy putting anahaw leaves on the waitingshed's rooftop. Anahw leaves is one of the best materials used for rooftop aside of knotted coconut leaves. It takes almost two hours before the half of the rooftop completely finished.
Our food for our breakfast is also ready, I re-cooked this left offer foods last night and luckily it was not spoiled. Everytime when we have left-over foods, I re-cooked it as long as it does not yet spoiled and still good to eat.
After that, we decided to continued our work here in the Farm and we had a very busy situations gathering this dry coconut branches. We carefully piled those branches in standing position so it wont easy soaked the water from the rain and it can dry very instantly. By next day, thise piled of coconut branches will cut into equal lenght and tied before selling it to the Market. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
20 brooms would take hours to make. Fighting! 🪘

i used to do it when i was young. my teacher would tell us to bring brooms for the classroom. since there are so many coconut fronds everywhere our place, i would just gather some and make them into brooms. It is really enjoyable.. I wish to teach my kids to do it but there are no coconut trees in my place because we fear it would fall down our house or somebody else's house when typhoon comes. It would be a disaster
Safety comes at first po Ma'am☺ it will be good to teach our children in this kind of simple way so they can have lots of ideas they can used in the future. ☺
Definitely..it's for their survival.we never know what the future brings.
Wow. You have another source of income!
