My Daily Post: "Nearly Restoration of Pond and Piggery and Checking of Fruit Trees
I am very delighted about the nearly restoration of our two fish pond, and a small piggery structure. Almost a year since those structures are temporarily stopped due to a valid and big reason but as my Father told us yesterday about the restoration, I felt very excited. Yesterday, I decided to explored the farm and checked those structures including the place where our fruit trees located and also the place where our old tenants lived. It is good to do this everyday to see of there are lots of coconuts fall to the ground so we can gathered it. First, at exactly 7 in the morning I went here in our old water pump located at the middle of the farm where hundreds of coconut trees planted. This water pump here is very old and my late Grandfather put this water pump here. This thing is very useful especially to all residents who lives at the Mountain. Everytime when there is a water interruption we always fetched lots of water here for our foods, animals and plant porpuses. We built a small concrete tub so we can stored lots of water and can avoided too much pumping. The surrounded place is also filled with solid concrete so we can avoided mud everytime when we washed our clothes or take a bathed.
This are the two concrete pond we have here and last year we cultivated 5,000 Commercial telapia here in this pond. Due to a minor earthquakes happends here, the floor of the ponds contains a cracks and it needs to concrete again. This will be a great cleaning activities when the restoration of the pond will be started. Aside of that, lots of pond materials will needed just like larges nets, polythelene tubes, concretes and even water pump.
We raised few pigs also here in this concrete cage and that what my Father wants to do by next Month. I hope it will happen, the last time we raised pigs here it was very enjoyable and fun. We raised 10 pigs that time and we sold it for a great prices, but as the swine infections spreaded here in the Municipality our remain pigs was died that is why we temporarily stopped raising pigs. This cage is made of solid concrete with metal bars at the top and it is located near at the bamboo trees so it will become always cool and avoided intense heat. If we raised pigs again, this entire place will clean first and installed electric wires for the lights. Small polythelene tubes for drinking hose and digging a big and secured canals and safety tanks for the Manure. The bamboo branches must be cut and do clearing activities.
After checking up the place, I continued to explored the areas where our late tenants lives and as we already occupied the place, there we gathered lots of dried tree branches for making as firewoods. Gladly we gathered lots of it and its perfect to used for rainy seasons. We put it in one place so we can easily get and brought home.
I am very happy to see about the fruits I've seen during my visitations. Starfruits, pineapples and cacao are already bared and I really hope we can have lots of it to harvest. Last time we did not harvest lots of cacao fruits because some of it are withered even if we wrapped it with plastic cellophane. My Fruit of labor of this pineapples are already shown and I am very excited to harvest the first fruits of this plants. My Grandma will be very happy if she will know about the starfruits, this is one of here favorite fruits to eat.
Before I went back home, I stopped by the at the place where lots of manggoe trees located and as few minutes in there, I found this ripe manggoes fall to the ground. My plan for this is to went here every morning to search lots of ripe manggoes and gladly I brought three ripes of it. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
