Meeting my Bestie Again after 2 Years <3

Last Saturday was one of the most amazing days I've had this year so far. I got to meet my bestie again after two years. I also had the chance to meet her hubby in person for the first time. :)

They arrived on the night of my birthday, but I didn't get to see them until last Saturday. They had some travel plans in other places in the Philippines, and the first meeting we were supposed to have was cancelled due to their schedule. I understand, though.

Before returning to the Philippines, she asked me to go on a trip with them to Bohol. I've never been there because my previous plans were also cancelled. At first, I was in two minds about whether to join them (my homebody and introverted self was screaming), but in the end, I was convinced to do so. My parents were also happy because I'd finally gone out since I'd been rotting away at home. Just kidding! haha

Our pick-up time was 7 AM, so I had to be at their hotel before that. Luckily, my father went with me because it's not as safe as before and I'm not sure about the commuting changes these days, especially early in the morning. We exchanged gifts in the lobby (lol). They gave us some souvenirs (including stuff for Arashi and Max), and we got them some welcome gifts (mostly local delicacies and some of my bestie's fave snacks).



The crowded pier terminal made me a bit uncomfortable, but I didn't mind since I was about to go on an adventure with my bestie and her hubby. Both of them are fun people, and despite being the first time meeting him in person, it felt comfortable since he's funny, and I can feel he really treasures my bestie. <3

Sharing meals with both of them is one of the highlights, of course. It's funny because, at dinner, my bestie asked me what I wanted to eat, so I told her, "Anything except seafood". She knows I'm allergic... then she asked her hubby the same question, and he said, "Anything except veggies." -- haha He doesn't like them. XD So, it's obvious what we could eat together, right? haha I chose chicken and pork BBQ for lunch, too.



I got to see wonderful views in Bohol with these equally wonderful and beautiful people. It's a trip that I'll forever cherish! I may have been unable to spend many days with my bestie during their trip to the Philippines this time, but I got to spend an amazing and quality day with them... and that's more than enough for me.

They're heading back to the US soon, and I hope they travel safely. It may take years for us to meet in person again, but we're just a chat or call away. Distance and time difference won't faze us... after all, what's an hour difference, right? (hahaha... that's an inside joke between us. XD)
