Yes, slow and easy wins the race... Not to mention teach her some mechanical skills (on top of the basic bike repair) to keep her engine in good shape. And the e-scooter would introduce her to the world of volts and amps, especially when she is faced with off-grid charging, which may be necessary in remote regions. (Not sure how frequent electric charging stations are in the Cardamom mountains.)
Not a bad idea at all. Surprisingly the remote mountain areas have really good electricity, mostly brand new grids. This is because of hydroelectric power and dams, a sad but true reality. Our aim i s to buy land so high in altitude that any creek or stream on our property will never be financially worth damming up. Now if we could only figure out how to propel a moto with undetonated landmines, those are a nearly unlimited free resouce.
