I wanted to share a celebration that happened a few weeks ago, and more about them too. I will also give you an updates on the kitties too.
So the other day there was like a celebration I think and it is called Kathun. They do it so that the monks can have new clothes and supplies and stuff. So here a monk can only have new clothes once every year and before they do that they do a celebration kinda thing I think. Some people from Thailand also came I think they came with like 10 cars.
So I went there as a student but no teachers or principal from go so he sends us there but he didn't even go. Anyway my mom actually thought about coming too but our neighbor didn't go so she didn't go too. I mean if she went I would've stayed longer and also get some free snacks. Well I didn't stay long and didn't get the snacks but Ta Hak (my best friend) did and he gave me some of his snacks.
Anyway I think one of the thing they do before giving the new clothes and supplies to the monks they have to walk around a temple 3 times. There is also a kind of music called Chayy Yam and they require for the people play it be at the front and sing while they do it. So I joined but I only walk and didn't do anything else, I only do it because a grandma told me to and rudely. I would've said something if she wasn't old and an elder, if she is around my age or a bit older I would've said something.
Anyway the people that they ask or hired to play the music was from Pursat I think, they require at least 7 or 8 people to do the music. I am a bit surprise when all of them looks around 20 years old or less, I would say they are probably 25 oldest. Anyway my kitties are getting bigger and more naughty especially Mantacore and Charcoal which is now being more called black cat or taco. Meanwhile Siamese is the cutest like always and the least naughty and a very calm kitty, and also my mom's favorite.
Great culture and tradition to be post.
