As I have shared from my previous blog, I Undergone Panoramic Radiograph that today is my schedule to see my doctor for reading the result. It was after lunch when I went out to see the dentist. I admit that I am a bit nervous while I am on my way to dentist clinic. I've been thinking of what will be the reading of panoramic radiograph result.

From my boarding house, the clinic is just a walking distance. So, I didn't ride a motorcycle to save the fare at the same time for me to take a short walk. When I arrived at the clinic, the assistant of the dentist opened the door for me and she let me in. I feel nervous actually as I take a seat and handed the envelope with panoramic radiograph result to the dentist.

The dentist told me that I have nothing to worry. She said to me that I really need to do regular check-ups and cleaning just like before pandemic so that pyorrhea won't worsen. And it should be treated so that it won't lead to disease and won't lead to bone and teeth lose.

The dentist prescribed me to take Sensedol, Vitamins C and to use of Gumtech toothpaste. And we have to wait for the progress when I followed what she prescribed to me. I have to monitor if my gums still bleed when brushing. And I have to see her for check-ups and regular cleaning every six months to avoid building of plaque along gum lines.

The dentist also told me that if ever I wanted to have braces, I need to follow the pyorrhea treatment first. I have to follow what she prescribed and have to monitor to bring back the healthy gums.

After a long talk with the dentist, I go to the nearest drug store. I check if there's a Sensedol available. The pharmacist assisted me. She said they have available value pack Sensedol. Then, she handed me one pack. I take a picture of it. I told the pharmacist that I will be back in a moment because I need to show it first to my dentist.

As I return to the clinic, I show to the dentist the picture of the Sensedol if it is the right one because I didn't know how it looks like. She told me that it is the right one and told me to take it twice a day - one in the morning and one in the evening before sleeping. She told me also to rub some gel unto my gums before I sleep. And when no more bleeding of gums while brushing I have to lessen the intake into one per day.

After confirming from the dentist, I leave the clinic and have to go back to the drug store. When I am outside the clinic, I remember to take picture of the clinic before I leave.

When I am back at the drug store, I go directly to the pharmacist who assisted me. Then, I ordered 60 pieces for 30 days consumptions. I add some vitamins C as well. The Sensedol cost PHP 144.00 per pack of 6 pieces while the vitamins C cost PHP 7.00 each. It costs me a total of more than Php1,500.00 pesos. I only use my credit card of paying my orders because I don't have available cash to pay. I am thankful to my credit cards that are useful in times of needs.

When I am done buying of what my doctor prescribed to me, I go to the adjacent building where the market is located. I bought some foods and go back to my boarding house when done. Then, I go back to the office to continue working.

And this evening, I checked the supplements I bought and computed how much it cost per piece the Sensedol. Then, I realized that dental care is really expensive and becomes more expensive if dental care is taken for granted.

So, all I can say is always see a dentist and have regular check-ups and cleaning whether you feel that you have a clean teeth or not. Because we cannot clean it alone by brushing. It needs more attention and care from the dentist.

From now on, I will not escape seeing my dentists. 😀 Hoping that my gums will be healthy again.🙏🙏🙏
