A Simple Celebration on Mother's Day

Hello everyone! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! Here, they'd prefer to go swimming to natural spring water resorts and some wanted to go to the beach to enjoy the summer heat! Yesterday, I planned to go home since I am with my daughter to tend to her baby and I'd like Antonia and her mom to have their own moments as, having in mind that she will be leaving soon and it will take months again before they'll gonna see each other again.

Knowing this my daughter bought a combo pack as her treat to me before we leave so that it!,:)

The package consisted the following dishes:

• Fried Milkfish
• Crabs
• Gambas (Shrimps)
• Morcon
• Coated Fried Pork
• Chicken joy
• Lumpia Shanghai
• Salted eggs
• 1 bucket rice
• stewed okra, eggplant and cucumber.

It was a hearty meal. They're all my favourites!

She also bought a single non-bake cake just to satisfy my taste buds! Lol! She said "mom, that's all for today, okay?" Actually, I just had my lipid profile that morning. I had fasting from starting 11PM the previous night and she was already anxious to know about my health since my last executive panel was before the lockdown yet. My son-in-law will pick the result this coming Wednesday yet. At least I am free to pick a taste of each menu:) It's my 'cheat day' after all.:)

That's Antonia, daughter and baby Jai-jai. That makes us 4 including my son in-law to consume our little banquet:)

I got little garden tools and gloves for my potted plants. She always remind me to wear gloves to avoid germ contamination because I easily get skin itching when I do the gardening. More often than not, I often forget to wear one when my first plan was to only visit my garden and ended up relocating them! Then I also got a Blood Pressure Monitor. I already have a digital BPM which she bought 3 yrs ago and it seems ok but she said that it may no longer be accurate. Well and good! She's a nurse and I know they're only after my good health.

Our plan to go home was cancelled because Antonia's mom arrived early. It was so hot outside so she ordered milk teas via online. As you can see, we had four flavours: Oreo, Nutella, Hershey's and Ferrero Roche. We had fun on which one to choose.

Earlier, I already gave them theirs too.

That's for Antonia's mom. She likes fancy earrings for her get ups.

I gave this white tote bag to my elder daughter too.

Mother's Day or not, the best thing is that we're together with or without gifts! I already had the "Lion's share" years when their dad was still alive and they did their best to compensate for the missing link. My youngest son wanted to be with us as well but they're very busy at the call center. Perhaps we can do it some other time then. They only sent their greetings via messenger. Years back when hubby was on board his ship, we only had mailed letters which took weeks before it could reach you.:( Thanks to modern technology!
