I almost missed our weekly community challenge due to my hectic schedule. I had something special prepared for this week's contest.
As you may recall from my previous blog post, I featured some of my origami creations. Check out that post here. So, when @justinparke announced our Community Challenge #85: Origami Time, I was surprised. I had already submitted an entry on this topic, and resubmitting it would be redundant.
That's when I had an idea. I needed to come up with something different and unique that I hadn't done before. My kids love animals, and they do enjoy watching animated videos about them, such as The Creature Cases and Paw Patrol. With that in mind, I'd like to present to you my newest creations exclusively for @asean.hive:
These origami creations are quite simple. I can typically make them in just about 5-7 minutes with just a few folds. While the crafting is straightforward, it requires some artistic flair as I need to add details like faces. Imagine these origami without the facial details; it would be challenging to identify each one.
PS: This is also my first attempt at creating detailed origami.
For my next collection, these are called action models. I consider it the most enjoyable and fun category of all origami types. The reason is that I can actually play with them. My collection includes Flapping Swan (Sky Blue), Picking Woodpeckers pecking a tree (Red), Windmill (Red and Green), Jumping Frog (Green), and Talking Fox (Orange). These toys are quite appealing to children and are an excellent alternative to gadgets.
Even with these simple creations, it brought joy to the children. I have no idea who invented the first origami, but I sincerely appreciate and admire this discovery—the art of paper folding. I also believe it's a great way to de-stress and pass the time if you're ever bored. I believe that as long as you have paper, you can create anything. The limit is your imagination. There are also books available if you want to develop your origami skills further.![]
You have lots of ideas about paper folding or Origami, I really amazed of your Origami and it is very unique. Best of luck. 😊
Thank you po.. trying hard papa just for the kids

So many cool designs, but I think most of all the eyes really make everything cute. The blue bird looks a bit complex, and the jumping frog I know all too well, my daughters love those.
Thank you so much for this. I am not really good in crafting. All of this are for asean hive exclusive.
