Wednesday Walk - New Years 2006 Celebration

Welcome the year 2006 full of happiness and laugher though I am away from home. Friends made everything possible when they invited me to join the party among all the maids of our employer family.

That day I was negative thinking of being alone and sadness overflow in my vein but they came at home and forced me to join. They encourage me to get up and prepared myself.I was grateful, it turned out successful and felt their warmth. They gave me many gifts as they all respect me as the oldest among them. Most of them are newbie working and not recognize them but they knew who I am. My story spreading around that I am working here for almost 30 years. They felt amazing not knowing how I fought my life every now and then.

We started the party with prayers and followed with exchanging gifts. We were all 15 individuals and only 14 joined the changing gift.

We were so happy.Tgey created noise , singing and dancing. We were not only Filipino but we had Ethiopian and Indonesian friends together.

We were the oldest maid here.

That's what friends are for! They made everything possible for me to be happy. I was really crying that time and lost my self esteem. I felt boring but they uplifted my spirit to be there having the best time together.

I couldn't forget the feeling I had that day. Before, I was the one initiating for a party when I was younger. But I lost myself. But thanks God I regained the spirit of celebrating the spirit of New year, wishing us for the best today and tomorrow. I got the chance to overcome against negative thinking about it. Thank you Lord for your love to me.
