Happy Sunday Hivers!
I’ve always heard the phrase, “buy a piece of land and plant on it.” I’m really grateful because both my mom and I are green thumbs, we love plants and we can grow and take care of them well. Aside from that, we are both hardworking when it comes to planting, and now we are already enjoying the harvest from what we’ve planted.
If you have land and you enjoy planting, you won’t really notice the hard work in the long run because the time will come when you’ll just keep harvesting. It’s the kind of reward that slowly washes away all your exhaustion. Yes, farming is really tiring, especially for those who are not into it or are not used to it. But if you are the type of person who loves planting and has a passion for it, all the tiredness fades away once you see your plants bearing fruit or when you finally harvest what you’ve grown.
We had another harvest from the garden and from our backyard. Our eggplants in the garden were already ready to be picked, so we harvested them. Aside from that, we also gathered sweet potato leaves.

We actually just sold the eggplants together with the sweet potato leaves because we don’t really eat eggplant, except for my brother. But this time, even my brother got tired of eating eggplant because he had been eating it often, so we decided to sell it instead.
When we got home from the garden, we also found a lot of coconuts that had been harvested. We just ask someone to help harvest our coconuts. That’s what’s nice about coconut trees, you can harvest them every month. Last month, we also had a good harvest of coconuts, and this month, it’s the same again, quite plenty. We are grateful because we also love drinking buko juice, so we don’t need to buy anymore.

It really feels good to have a simple life where we can grow, harvest, and eat from our own backyard. It may be tiring at times, but the reward is always worth it.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

Namaste! I am fond of reading books, watching korean, american and filipino series/movies and I am also fond of gardening. I love listening to different life stories and I am always captivated with the beauty of nature so travel is my escape when life turns into blue. But hey, how could I forget my photography hobby? It is one of the best, so follow me as I will be featuring my experiences of the stuff that I am passionate with.

Thank you @eii.
I couldn't agree more. I am working on that as well as when I visited my grandmother, the fun part was harvest season. Though now, it still remains a challenge for me to convince my mother to grow vegetables, considering we also have cats that likes to play around and ruin our crops 😅
All the hard work would go to waste if cats kept ruining the crops @macchiata. We're also thankful that we don't have any cats, only dogs. However, we don't let our dog go into the garden; it stays around the house. This helps protect our plants and ensures that all the time and effort we put into growing our crops are not wasted.
