Happy Saturday Hivers!
I always tell myself that I will keep planting as long as there is still space available in our garden. Right now, we still have plenty of room for new plants, and we continue to look for fruit trees and vegetables that we can add to our growing garden.
For now, we only added a few new plants. Since we found a marcotted lemon tree for sale, my mom didn't hesitate to buy it. We purchased the lemon tree for PHP 250, and it was already marcotted. According to the vendor, it had been marcotted for quite some time and had even started bearing fruit, which made it an easy decision for my mom to bring it home.

The next addition to our garden is melon. While grocery shopping at Metro, we came across some melon seeds, and it was one of the varieties we decided to purchase. After two weeks from sowing the seeds, the seedlings had grown enough and were ready for transplanting.

Having learned from our experience with watermelons, whose roots were damaged by land crabs, we decided not to plant the melons in the lower part of the garden. Instead, we transplanted them to a higher area where they would be safer. We still have some plants growing in the lower section, but we no longer plant melons or watermelons there.

I am hopeful that these new additions will reward us with an abundant harvest in the future. By the way, I planted six melon seedlings, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that all of them will survive and thrive. Every new plant added to our garden brings us one step closer to creating the productive and fruitful garden we have always dreamed of.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
