Today Srey-Yuu returned home from school with a sore throat and immediately fell asleep on the bed, and Dr. Meow immediately got to work.
Β Β Β ChairWoman Meow is first and foremost a communist kitty, but she is also a part-time hoo-man physician, offering proletariat medical services totally free of charge. My wife was gone on a road trip and Srey-Yuu was sick on the bed, and with a total of 4 guests staying here at the moment, I had to clean the house, cook meals, and do various other things that prevented me from looking after Srey-Yuu. Luckily Dr. Meow took this responsibility upon herself, and although she prefers my lap during the daytime, she abandoned me to help a patient, seemingly aware that her throat needed some purr medicine between 25 and 150 Hz.
Β Β Β All that purring left Meow a little drained of energy, so when she left Srey-Yuu for a few moments to check her food bowl, she looked at me in a strange and slightly violent way as if to let me know that medical services require more seaweed and nutritional yeast. I like my yeast, impossible to find in Cambodia, but with a menacing look like that, I complied quickly.
Β Β Β I have always been a dog lover, but ever since Meow forced her way into my house and life I have become enamoured with cats, well at least this particular furball. She's learned that my computer chair is an important place that I visit often, and if she sleeps on it that she will get her cuddles when I return to reclaim my throne.
Β Β Β Cats incredible ability to purr fascinates me, and since this furball came into my life I have been researching this magical ability in my freetime. It seems everything from healing broken bones faster to lowering stress hormones can all be done with the simple purr. There is much more anecdotal information than scientific facts about the kitty purr, but I am a believer from firsthand experience as a non-cat-lover. This creature is from another galaxy, and and scientists seem to have a better understanding of volcanoes and the ocean floor than they do kitty purring.
Β Β Β With the wife on the road, Srey-Yuu sick, 4 houseguests staying with us, and a nearly empty refrigerator, I did my best to make a rasam without tomatoes. A handful of chopped cabbage and some green onions were all I had for this batch, but everyone seemed to be satisfied, likely because I threw in some alphabet pasta. I took this picture after telling Monkey-B not to spell any bad words inside her mouth.
Β Β Β Meow went missing sometime after lunch, and I looked all over the house wondering if she had left for some hunting or was hiding somewhere in the house. Of course she had decided to check on her patient, somehow getting inside the blanket and making herself a cave nest without disturbing Srey-Yuu. She winked at me when I snapped a pic as if to let me know she's got this under control. I sensed she wanted me to back off so she could continue her healing magic, so I let her do her thing.
My friend Justine, I was not a catlover before but when I came Saudi, I learned to love streetcars. You knew Whitey and I was posting it here together with other cats. I can give testimony that cats have a healing power for me when I got sicked. They remove my bad energy when he wrapped his tail and body to my legs.
Well it looks we both are former non-believers in cat magic. I have spent far too much time lately researching the science of purring and itβs effect on humans and cats. Hard to believe we have been to the moon and back, but we still donβt fully understand the science and health effects of cat purring.
Dr. Meow is so busy, she is just as busy as you taking care of her other hooman, Srey-Yuu. I hope she get better soonest. Having a sore throat is really the worst as it can also make you feel weak. But Dr. Meow was to the rescue. She deserve more raise, more cat food and more love for her ΰΈ ^β’ο»β’^ΰΈ
Cat medicine appears to have worked in this case, Srey-Yuu is better. Very peculiar how she has a sore throat and Meow sleeps and purrs on her neck, perhaps a bit of feline intuition.
That's good to know, Meow is a lot of help again this time yeah ΰΈ ^β’ο»β’^ΰΈ
Aww this is so cute lol.
I am a cat lover and I always cuddle with my cats because I feel that they are recharging my energy but most of the time they like to sleep a lot lol. I'm glad that Srey-Yuu has a cutie doctor maybe it will help her get well soon.
I was always a dog person until this cat entered our lives. She adopted us as her humans without our consent, but within a few days we quickly realized she improved the quality of all of our lives. A nice side bonus is that I havenβt seen a mouse in months.
Oh, I see. Being a dog lover to a cat lover is such a great thing. You are starting to appreciate the existence and cuteness of this sleepy furry animals. Also, they are the sweetest pets.

Oh it's so nice to have a lovely communist cat doctor. I'm sure the purring will do something to speed up recovery.
I love how your C Meow posts remind me of old comics I used to read as a kid. In this case the super hero is Super C Meow.
At times I think ChairWoman Meow could have a more successful blog than myself. I've hardly got time for blogging lately because I've been house-husbanding full-time. Surely with some kind of AI technology Meow could translate her meows and manage a blog on her own.
I love putting her on top of the wall so she can hunt wall meat from up above. My favorite part is when I hear a meow from above my computer desk, I look up and she lets me know she is ready for me to help her down.
Hope your kid gets better soon, the other day I was at the mall and a animal shelter was giving cats and dogs in adoption, almost pick a cat but Im worry my kids might get alergies, love cats π€
Yes, I think we are lucky to have no allergies in the family. I once read somewhere that kids raised in a home with pets are less likely to develop pet dander allergies.
It's truly touching to witnΠ΅ss Dr. MΠ΅ow's dΠ΅dication in taking carΠ΅ of SrΠ΅y-Yuu during a busy timΠ΅ whΠ΅n you had many rΠ΅sponsibilitiΠ΅s. Cats and thΠ΅ir purring havΠ΅ a spΠ΅cial way of providing comfort and support. π±β€οΈ
Cats are truly mystical, and I feel blessed to have such a loyal feline in the house. There are many poisonous snakes around here, even king cobras, and I think she also helps keep the mice and snakes away from our house.
Cats arΠ΅ indΠ΅Π΅d amazing crΠ΅aturΠ΅s, and it's wondΠ΅rful to havΠ΅ a loyal companion in your homΠ΅. I can rΠ΅latΠ΅ to your apprΠ΅ciation for thΠ΅ir natural hunting instincts. ThΠ΅y can bΠ΅ a grΠ΅at dΠ΅tΠ΅rrΠ΅nt for kΠ΅Π΅ping micΠ΅ and snakΠ΅s at bay. PΠ΅rsonally, I'm a bit fΠ΅arful of snakΠ΅s, so having a cat around for that addΠ΅d protΠ΅ction is rΠ΅assuring!
