Not long after I had been invited to a band rehearsal at my friend's house, the band had a show at a local bar that I attended.
I did take some video footage of this show, and the thumbnail GIF is evidence of that, but I'm already back here in the Cardamom Mountains of Cambodia where internet is paid for by the megabyte, so a 3Speak upload would likely cost me more than any potential post earnings. Sorry for that because music is something you tend to want to hear, so I guess consider a little imagination while reading to bring this post to life.
The band Buck Rogers Clark played this show at the Vincennes Brewing Company, and believe it or not I once attended community college in this town, lived here a full year, so I am still somewhat familiar with the place. The band was in the zone, synced up and playing like a well-oiled machine.
Although this wasn't the first time this particular set of band members had played together, it was fellow ginger Stacia's first night singing a lead solo song. She killed it of course, and this was also the band's first time playing at this particular bar, and I think they impressed the crowd and bar owners.
I can only hope they are offered better financial compensation for future shows, they certainly put enough heart and soul into their songs. Even though they play mostly cover songs, many of the covers they play aren't songs I particularly like, but I like the way this band plays them, even more than the original artist.
Do I think this gang will become rich and famous with this musical project? No. That's not the goal, and as far as I know all the members have full-time jobs and other lives they're fully invested in. It's a miracle that this many adults can not only find time to play shows together, but also to arrange organized practices.
It's clear they have captured lightning in a bottle, the crowd was feeling it. I think this gang is quite happy to ride the wave locally and become Vincennes #1 band, but that would be quite an achievement to be proud of. If they're still playing when I visit the USA on a future trip, I'll definitely be in attendance. That's all for now ASEAN Hivers, stay tuned......
That's really cool, maybe they could also start reaching others through social media or even here at HIVE. I bet you truly enjoyed listening to them. Thanks for sharing us your experience have a great week ahead!
They do have a FB page and post show dates via that page, but definitely they could expand their social media presence a bit, especially if they ever want to play outside their local area. Give thanks for stopping by.
Oh, thats cool too hear, at least they are present on social media.
You're most welcome Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend

Wao! This is incredibly amazing. Music is life, music is fun. I just wonder what life would have been without music
Really nice to see them execute their practice session flawlessly at a local bar. I haven't seen live music in far too long.
Wao! That's serious. It's good you had a great time seeing this one
