Finding Solace under the Huge Trees

It was on Sunday when the Banog-banog Festival happened. I missed watching the cultural show for many years and I really wanted to see one. This year, the finale of the show was held on Sunday and I wanted to come, have fun and be part of it evenas one of the cheerers of my barangay representatives.

Yet life had a different plan for me; I had to wait for something that would come at 10am that day and I just can't leave home to watch the show. I diverted my plans and do my laundry instead.

Then I received a call form my husband who was watching the show and he said come here already. So I went as fast as I can then when I was on a bus l, he called again and said not to come any.

I was devastated and angry that all my efforts would come to waste. I was just a minute away from the site and was told not to come anymore. Well I continued anyway and heard the announcement of the special awards of the cultural show. There was nothing for me to watch anyone so I took my time to cool down under the huge trees.

The place where the event was held was very spacious and there were lots of huge trees around. They gave us lots of shadows and cool temperature, and fresh air.

And as usual, nature did it's magic and made my head clearer and cooler. I really enjoyed watching the tree branches as they wave when the wind passed, listened to the cicadas sing and they celebrated the sun's heat, and most of all I enjoyed watching the tree's roots which went tout of the ground.

Each tree looks magical and powerful, sadly almost everywhere now, trees had been cut down due to the falling leaves people would have to sweep, and mostly due to urbanization.

We would have not felt the scorching heat due to climate change and global warming if everyone has cared enough for the trees and how they help people in their daily lives.

I could have stayed late in there but I have kids to tned at home slyet the short moment I spent under thrle trees made me feel like I'm in paradise.
